● Task force continues to meet every week to

provide guidance to the session, monitor data,

plan communication strategies, and lay

groundwork for coming back together safely.

the medical and public health fields

stage 1 activities (i.e., staff-related activities) appear

Shallowford’s Stage-By-Stage Return Plan

Stage-by-Stage Return

● Approved by Shallowford’s Session

● Task force makes recommendations to move between stages, based on gating criteria.

● Session votes to move between stages.

● Shallowford is currently in Stage 1.

We will be regularly assessing the gating criteria using data from local, state, and federal sources in order to recommend movement between stages.

Promoting Behaviors that Reduce Spread:

● All people are asked to practice physical distancing, leaving at least 6 feet between households.

● All participants wear face coverings, and a supply of masks is available on hand.

● People are asked not to shake hands, hug, or touch each other.

● People in high-risk categories are encouraged to stay home.

Establishing an Environment that Reduces Spread:

● Hand sanitizer is readily available and used.

● High-touch surfaces are disinfected regularly.

● Temperatures are taken with an infrared thermometer as participants arrive, and anyone with a fever of 100.4 F or higher is asked to return home.

Establishing Operationsthat Reduce Spread:

● Attendance is taken and recorded, to assist with contact tracing if needed.

● The number of people in a space or gathering must be limited and managed based on current public health and safety data and recommendations.

Music at Shallowford

● We are doing research week by week as new

information becomes available and incorporating the suggested protocols.

● For now, we are using one voice or one

instrument at a time in worship. When infection rates subside, we will be using 2-3 music makers at a distance of 15 feet apart.

● Adding singers and instrumentalists to our

worship services will be a slow and methodical process to maintain safety for all.

● Our talented music staff has been meeting to

make creative and responsible plans for the fall start of the program year. Stay tuned!
