Apr 28 2015 : The Times of India (Ahmedabad) Shaken but relieved: Survivors arrive in city Ahmedabad: TIMES NEWS NETWORK Ahmedabad: Emotions ran high at the city airport on Monday noon as survivors of Nepal earthquake met their near and dear ones. Tears rolled down from every eye as relatives hugged their loved ones and thanked God for their safe return. Mahendrabhai, who had come to receive his parents, said that the fact that his parents are back safely is the happiest moment of his life. Around 35 persons of Swami narayan sect belonging to Maninagar who were part of 80member group of Nepal tour returned from Delhi on Monday by a private airline. The rest of the members are likely to return on Tuesday morning. The survivors narrated horrid tales of quake in Kathmandu which reminded them of the 2001 disaster in Gujarat. The Sheshpal couple could not thank God enough as they were minutes away from disaster before they luckily escaped. “We were standing in a queue to take ropeway ride to Manokamna temple which is 100km away from Kathmandu. It so happened that half of our group including me and my wife were not allowed to enter the gates as the capacity got full. We were waiting to join our other members when the earth started shaking.The ropeway and the temple located on height collapsed like pack of cards in front of our eyes. The whole village was destroyed but we escaped safely ,“ said Trayambak Sheshpal who runs a school in Maninagar. “As soon as we came out of Lord Pashupatinath temple, the earth quake struck.
