The Jewish Cardinaltells the amazing true story of Jean-Marie Lustiger, the son of Polish-Jewish immigrants, who maintained his cultural identity as a Jew even after converting to Catholicism and joining the priesthood. When nuns plan to build a convent within the walls of Auschwitz, Lustiger may be forced at last to choose his side. BOOK STUDY & LIBRARY NEWS This year Rabbi Greenspan will lead us in the study of the Book of Psalms which is included in "The Jewish Study Bible," the text we've used for the past few years. Our first session is scheduled for Thursday morning, October 29 th with coffee served at 10:45 AM and Bible study promptly at 11AM. New titles on our Shabbat cart include: Saving Sophia by Ronald H. Balson (author of Once We Were Brothers), The Secret Chord by Geraldine Brooks (author of People of the Book) and The Debt of Tamar, by Nicole Dweck Please contact Paula (764-4213 ext. 23 or [email protected]) with any questions, comments or concerns.
