[email protected] TUESDAYS AT THE MOVIES Please join Lifelong Jewish Learning on Tuesday, October 13 th at 11:00 AM in the Multi-purpose Room for a screening of: Frisco Kid.A Polish rabbi wanders through the Old West on his way to lead a synagogue in San Francisco. On the way he is nearly burnt at the stake by Indians and almost killed by outlaws. BOOK STUDY & LIBRARY NEWS Mark your calendar and join us on Thursday, October 22 nd for OJC's first book discussion of the New Year: "Atticus, We Hardly Knew Ye!" Participants are encouraged to read the recently released novel, "Go Set a Watchman" by Harper Lee, and review or read "To Kill a Mockingbird" as we grapple with the character of Atticus Finch as developed by the author rather than depicted by Gregory Peck. Select the time most convenient for you. We'll meet at 10:45 AM for coffee and begin our discussion promptly at 11 AM. An evening discussion will begin after minyan at 7:30 PM on the same date to allow participation by those who cannot attend morning activities. Exact location will be publicized along with additional book titles and dates. This year Rabbi Greenspan will lead us in the study of the Book of Psalms which is included in "The Jewish Study Bible," the text we've used for the past few years. Our first session is scheduled for Thursday morning, October 29 th with coffee served at 10:45 AM and Bible study promptly at 11AM.
