PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Accomplished, highly competent and well qualified Appointed Person/Lift Supervisor, I have over 14 years’ experience in crane operations, rigging and supervision, working in a variety of roles with Weldex International Offshore. My extensive knowledge and outstanding planning and organizational skills enable me to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with deadlines and expectations. As an Appointed Person, I am responsible for organising, planning and supervising lifts. A confident and articulate professional, I adopt a logical and analytical approach to solving any risks and issues that occur, selecting the most productive and efficient crane configurations ensuring loads are within the safe working load of the machine. An IOSH qualified workforce Health and Safety Representative, I am fully committed to safe working practices, ensuring the safety of both people and equipment on a daily basis. I have extensive experience in all aspects of lifting with various sizes of cranes from 30 ton to 750 including backmast and superlift. Fully conversant with Permit to Work systems, I have enjoyed an interesting career to date involved in a wide and varied selection of projects including a lot of renewable wind energy projects on the mainland UK and also Denmark and Spain for Dong Energy, Gamesa and Siemens.

In addition I have also worked on an FPSO vessel on hire to Amec, the refit of semi-submersible/jack up rigs and also for Isleburn lifting spools in Nigg Energy Park, where all the oil and gas work was carried out. Flexible and adaptable, I am used to operating in a vast range of settings including power stations, gas plants, wind farms and barge work for Fifth Road Bridge. In recent years I have developed my career to take on senior and supervisory roles delegating tasks and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within the guidelines of LOLER and BS7121. I enjoy being part of a successful and productive team and thrive in highly pressurised and challenging environments. An experienced leader I drive performance by ensuring a focused, highly skilled team who are motivated and well drilled on the expectations and challenges of the work required. With excellent interpersonal skills, I have the ability to communicate professionally at all levels, with clients and colleagues alike. Ambitious and eager to succeed, I am interested in continued professional development and currently seeking a new Appointed Person/Lift Supervisor role working in either the oil and gas or renewable energy sector, where I may achieve my full potential and climb the career ladder. As a dedicated, conscientious and methodical professional who works to the highest standard, I would be an asset to any employer.
