Read the newspaper regularly during your holidays. Solve English crosswords and

Form your WORD FOR THE DAY notebook, write a word everyday with its meaning
(minimum 30 words in all) and frame a paragraph on an A-4 size sheet using at least
15-20 words from your Word for the Day notebook and underline them.
The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more
sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related
to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and
justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we
achieve each Goal and target by 2030.

GOAL 4 – QUALITY EDUCATION
A quality education is the foundation of sustainable development, and
therefore of the Sustainable Development Goals. As a policy intervention,
education is a force multiplier which enables self-reliance, boosts
economic growth by enhancing skills, and improves people’s lives by

This goal ensures sustainable consumption and production patterns.

It is good to realize that if love and peace can prevail on Earth, and if we can teach our children to honour
nature’s gifts, the joys and beauties of the outdoors will be here forever.
The world (land, water and air) is being polluted through the years. By reducing consumption and
re-using and recycling products, we will be able to reduce pollution.

Rally for rivers is a campaign led for saving the rivers in India. It is a campaign to bring awareness among
people .Our ancient civilizations were born along the rivers, and they perished when the rivers shifted course.
So we need to save our rivers from pollution to save life on land.
Find the names of 5 major rivers of India. On an A3 size sheet write the lengths of those rivers in a tabular
form.
1) Write the lengths of the rivers in increasing order
2) Write the lengths of rivers in words
3) Round off the lengths to nearest 10 and 100 place.

Activity 2: India - Intangible Cultural Heritage
Culture and creativity manifest themselves in almost all economic, social and other activities
A country as diverse as India is symbolized by the plurality of its culture. India has one of the world’s
largest collections of music, dance, painting, performing arts that are known as Intangible Cultural
Heritage. In order to preserve these elements and to make students aware about their importance,
