Data -> Data Validation - can give Alert message or Error messageDrop-Down List - Same Data -> Data Validation, Criteria select "List" and select the source from where the list needs to be displayed.Dependent Drop Down List - Write down all the values for dependent values, select all the values and name the complete set same as the Dependent Name, and in the cell where dependent value is required, go to Data -> Data Validation -> Select List and in Source write -> =INDIRECT(Cell reference of the cell where dependent value is entered)For not allowing Duplicate data, Go to Data -> Data Validation -> Custom and in formula set to "=COUNTIF(Cellrange, Active cell)=1"
