１）Turn the starter switch to the LOCK or OFF position. Then it leaves it for 2 minutes or more.

２） Pull out the battery (-)terminal, then insulate the terminal by vinyl tape etc.

３）Leave it for 60 seconds or more after pull out the battery terminal.

※Air bag system take malfunction when working within 60 seconds after the battery terminal is pulled out.

5. Preparation for work

5-1. Pull out the battery (-)terminal

24V vehiclePull out 4 battery terminal, then insulate the terminal by vinyl tape etc.

Peeling of repair harness

Use a wire stripper for peeling. The peeling length is as shown below. (Figure 1, Figure 2)※ Adjust the stopper position of the wire stripper to the wire size before peeling. Set the peeling length as below. (Figure 3)※ Be careful not to cut and/or damage the core while peeling (Figure 4)

When the core is cut or damaged, cut the section off and peel it again.

・Adjust the stopper position to the peeling length.・Set the wire size to an engraved mark of the stripper blade.・Set the wire to the blade of the wire stripper. Press the end of the wire to the stripper and take the handle.・Complete the peeling.Good

・Open the caulker wide enough, and place duraseal to the same colored crimping area of caulker.・Tighten the handle gradually and fix.・Insert the wire from the tip of duraseal.

Insert until the wire hits the stopper inside the duraseal.

Caulker part number ： MC037990

・Close the caulker handle to its final end Open the handle and crimping is completed.

・Crimp the opposite wire in the same way.（Fixing strength of wire should be above 9ｋｇｆ.）

Heat and shrink duraseal with the heat gun

・Place the duraseal in the middle of heat gun nozzle

・Heat until the adhesive comes out of both endsof duraseal.

After the repair, check the following. ・Whether wiring cover is within duraseal.・Whether adhesive came out of duraseal terminals.・Has duraseal shrunk completely toward wire.・Whether there is crack or scratch in duraseal.・Due to overheat, has duraseal changed to brown.・Has wire been damaged by heat

Do not touch nozzle while using due to its very high temperature.After using, make SW to “COLD”, and after cooling the heat gun sufficiently switch it “OFF”
