Chapter 1: Welcome 7
Chapter 1: Welcome
This Readme contains important information about CA Service Catalog and CA Service Accounting
(Catalog/Accounting) r11.2 Service Pack 5 and CA Service Metric Analysis and CA Service Assure
(SMA/Assure) r11.1 Service Pack 5, which have been combined as this Service Pack 5.
Important! Before applying Service Pack 5, ensure that you have read and understood the following
information:
This Service Pack 5 applies to both Catalog/Accounting r11.2 (SP2 or SP3 or SP4) and
SMA/Assure r11.1 (SP2 or SP3 or SP4). In both cases, this Service Pack 5 updates
Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 to Service Pack 5.
All of Service Pack 5, including the installer and all related updates to the product, is
English-only and has not been localized.
Chapter 2: Prerequisites 9
Chapter 2: Prerequisites
To implement Service Pack 5, you must meet the following prerequisites:
To install and use Service Pack 5 for Catalog/Accounting, ensure that you have
installed Catalog/Accounting r11.2 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4.
For information about it, see http://ca.com/support.
To install and use Service Pack 5 for SMA/Assure, ensure that you have installed
SMA/Assure r11.1 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4. For information

Chapter 3: How to Apply Service Pack 5 11
Chapter 3: How to Apply Service Pack 5
Follow the instructions in this section to apply Service Pack 5 to Catalog/Accounting r11.2 Service Pack
2 or Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4, to SMA/Assure r11.1 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 or
Service Pack 4, or to both. All applicable products are upgraded to Service Pack 5 when you apply it as
instructed in this section.
If you have both Catalog/Accounting r11.2 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4
(including CA Service Meter) and SMA/Assure r11.1 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4
installed, then applying Service Pack 5 does all the following:
Upgrades Catalog/Accounting to r11.2 Service Pack 5
Upgrades SMA/Assure to r11.1 Service Pack 5
Maintains the integration between all these products
All users must follow the instructions in this section to apply Service Pack 5 to the product or products
they have installed. If a step does not apply because you do not have one or more of the products
installed, then, skip the step and perform all applicable steps, to finish applying Service Pack 5 to the
product or products that you do have installed.
If SMA/Assure has been integrated with Catalog/Accounting during the upgrade to Service Pack 2, the
integration is maintained by completing the instructions in this section, as long as you meet the
prerequisites.
If applicable and if you have not already done so, ensure that Catalog/Accounting and CA
Service Meter (Meter) are installed at r11.2 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4
release level. If necessary, for instructions, contact Technical Support at
http://ca.com/support.
Note: Previous releases of these products are not supported for this upgrade.

d. cazipxp.exe –u <Path to Service Pack 5 cazip file>
e. Run the Service Pack 5 setup file on the machine where the primary Service
View is installed, and follow the instructions provided by it.
f. If applicable, run the Service Pack 5 setup file on the machines where
individual products and components (Accounting, DC Server, DC Hub,
NSMWVserver, secondary Service View and/or CA Workflow) are installed and
follow the instructions provided by it.
Chapter 4: Updates with Service Pack
This section describes the new features, fixes, and other updates with the Service Pack.
Feature Updates with Service Pack 5
This section summarizes the new feature in Service Pack 5, as follows:
Support for NSM r11.2 PCM cubes.
Note: The 'pcmToCsv'(as part of the patch T5ES039) utility which is shipped with the Service Pack
5, would be placed under the 'shared components‟(%CASHCOMP%\CCS) by the Service Pack 5
installer, but if the already existing utility happens to be in a different path, it is required to copy
the updated PDA folder, placed by the Service Pack 5 installer and located under
%CASHCOMP%\CCS, to the respective location, in order to avail the new feature support for NSM
r11.2 PCM cubes.
Feature Updates with Service Pack 4
Chapter 4: Updates with Service Pack 13
Feature Updates with Service Pack 4
This section summarizes the new feature in Service Pack 4, as follows:
Number of Old Files in Logs
Number of Old Files in Logs
If the property “oldFilesToKeep” in Log.properties is set to a non-zero positive value, Service
Pack 4 changes the naming format of the log files created. Previously, the log files had names
with the format view_YYYY-MM-DD_X.log where YYYY-MM-DD was the date of creation of the
log file and X was the number of log files. The date part from the name of the log files have
been removed in Service Pack 4. Now, the files will be named view_X.log.
Feature Updates in Service Pack 3
This section summarizes the new features in Service Pack 3, as follows:
UAPM inactive and active model search
Permissions export and import using IXUTIL
Migrating existing offering permissions
Note: For operating systems, hardware, and software supported by Catalog and Accounting r11.2
Service Pack 3, see their certification matrixes on http://ca.com/support.
UAPM Inactive and Active Model Search
When CA Service Catalog and CA Service Accounting are integrated with Unicenter Asset
Portfolio Management (UAPM), adding the UAPM models to Service Option Elements displays
the UAPM model assignment page, where diverse search criteria can be added to find the
necessary models. However, none of the search options is for inactive or active entries. The
search result list displays BOTH, active and inactive entries. This enhancement provides a
check box which controls the display of active and inactive models in the search result.
Permissions Export and Import Using IXUTIL
Service Pack 3 enhances the IXUTIL implementation of “offering” and “offeringrateplan”. With
this enhancement, IXUTIL now exports and imports permissions defined on Service (formerly
offering), Service Option Group (formerly rate plan) and Service Option Elements (formerly
rate item). If you have already exported and imported the “offering” and “offeringrateplan”
from the source machine to the destination machine, you can follow the instructions in the
next section, Migrating Existing Offering Permissions.
Feature Updates in Service Pack 3
14 Service Pack 5 Readme
Following is the syntax for IXUTIL offering implementation to export and import permissions
defined on Service, Service Option Group and Service Option Element:
IXUTIL export offering [-f file] [-domain name] [-include_permissions]
IXUTIL import offering [-f file] [-format xml] [-domain name]
[-include_permissions]
Following is the syntax for IXUTIL offeringrateplan implementation to export and import
permissions defined on Service, Service Option Group and Service Option Element:
IXUTIL export offeringrateplan [-f file] [-folder name]|[-offering name]
[-include_permissions]
IXUTIL import offeringrateplan [-f file] [-format xml] [-folder]
[-include_permissions]
To export and import the permissions use the flag –include_permissions
Note: Before importing permissions, permissions should be exported using the flag -
include_permissions. Do not specify the flag –include_permissions if permissions export and
import are not required.
Important! After importing permissions, restart the Unicenter Service View service.
Migrating Existing Offering Permissions
Prior to Service Pack 3, using IXUTIL to export and import offerings from the source to
destination machine will not migrate the permission settings associated with the offerings.
Service Pack 3 now provides a utility to migrate the existing offering permissions. For newly
created offerings, you may simply use the enhanced IXUTIL for this purpose. For more
information, see the previous section, Permissions Export and Import Using IXUTIL.
Requirements
1. Make sure that you have already imported the offerings from the source to
the destination machine using IXUTIL.
2. Make sure that the source and destination machine point to the same
version of CA Embedded Entitlements Manager (CA EEM, formerly eIAM).
On the Source Machine
1. Navigate to %USM_HOME%\scripts\Hostname-Change-Utility.
2. Double click on usm.cmd.
3. Execute the following command on the command line:
Feature Updates in Service Pack 3
Chapter 4: Updates with Service Pack 15
ant backup-eem-app
4. Follow the instructions on the screen. Once the backup process is
complete, the CA EEM backup file will be created at %USM_HOME%\eem-
backup.xml. Note that the eem-backup.xml file can also be used to fully
restore the original state of the CA EEM. You may duplicate this file in
another location for future use, so that the next execution of ant backup-
eem-app will not override the previous file.
5. Copy %USM_HOME%\eem-backup.xml to %USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil.
6. Navigate to %USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil.
7. Double click on OPMUtil.bat.
8. Enter 1 (Generate the policy template file from the CA EEM backup file).
9. Enter the number associated to the CA EEM backup XML file (eem-
backup.xml) on the command line. The template file,
%USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil\eem-backup_template.xml will be
created. You will need to copy this file to the destination machine. Please
see the section On the Destination Machine for details.
On the Destination Machine
1. Navigate to %USM_HOME%\scripts\Hostname-Change-Utility.
2. Double click on usm.cmd.
3. Execute the following command on the command line:
ant backup-eem-app
4. Follow the instructions on the screen. Once the backup process is
complete, the CA EEM backup file will be created at %USM_HOME%\eem-
backup.xml. Note that in this On the Destination Machine section, Step 1
to Step 4 are only for CA EEM backup purpose. You may duplicate this file
in another location for future use, so that the next execution of ant
backup-eem-app will not override the previous file.
5. Copy %USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil\eem-backup_template.xml from the
source machine to %USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil on the destination
machine.
6. Navigate to %USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil.
7. Double click on OPMUtil.bat.
8. Enter 2 (Generate the policy file from the template file created in option
1).
9. Enter the number associated to the template file (eem-
backup_template.xml) on the command line. The new policy file,
%USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil\eem-backup_new.xml will be created.
10. Copy %USM_HOME%\scripts\OPMUtil\eem-backup_new.xml to
%USM_HOME%\bin\safex.
Fixes Included with Service Pack 5
16 Service Pack 5 Readme
11. Start Windows command prompt, and navigate to
%USM_HOME%\bin\safex.
12. Execute safex to import the policies. For example:
safex –u EiamAdmin –p password –h eiamhost –f eem-backup_new.xml
where,
EiamAdmin – Eiam Administrator username,
Password – Eiam Administrator password,
eiamhost – Eiam host name,
eem-backup_new.xml – Policy file to be used.
13. Restart Unicenter Service View.
Fixes Included with Service Pack 5
The following information summarizes the problems resolved by the Service Pack 5. For more
information about a particular problem, search the knowledge base on http://ca.com/support.
Product TestFix Description
UNISLM T5EP077 From pulling a Service Level Report we have to add events
(reasons) to outages reported. The 'Add Service Event' screen
being displayed has a time difference of one hour to the report
screen where 'edit' was selected. This suggests that the Add Service
Event portion of the software doesn't take into account the daylight
saving time.
UNISLM T5EP075 IP Ping metric instance data shows wrong data, when the target is
actually down for long period, the SMA data shows UP‟s and
DOWN‟s during that time.
UNISLM T5EP073 The performance data is collected for Logical Disk, Memory,
Network interface and Processor, which can be seen in
„*FullyDaily*.csv‟ files, but once these metric instances are tried to
be accessed, from the application UI, for a particular box, the
metric instances related to processors can only be visible.
UNISLM T5EP054 While migrating the collected data from SLM 3.5 to SMA 11.1 the
data that is not reduced does not get migrated. Another problem
observed during migration of collected data is that if there is a
named instance for SQL Server then the data file remains in the
upload folder and never gets deleted. The import_remote_data.log
shows errors in this regard.
UNISLM T5EP052 In SMA 11.1, if there more than 240 report jobs scheduled and then
we try to navigate through the 240 jobs, Internet Explorer shows
the message "The page cannot be displayed" after 12 clicks.
Fixes Included with Service Pack 5
Chapter 4: Updates with Service Pack 17
Product TestFix Description
UNISLM T5EP051 The reports (adhoc/scheduled) show 'no data' for the metric
instances created from folder 'Network Interface', even though the
data gets collected and stored in the MDB, for these metric
instances.
UNISLM T5EP049 A file named appagent.600 does not get deleted and remains in the
directory %smm%\etc which otherwise should get deleted. Due to
this, data does not get collected.
UNISLM T5LX070 Configuring the Chart Server URL to use HTTPS (SSL) in a report
profile does not produce the charts.
UNISLM T5LX067 When SMA reports of period last week are published to Unicenter
Management Portal (UMP), the reports do not appear in the first 9
weeks of the year. SOAP logging has error Can't execute
"slmo_report_get group_id 11": expected integer but got "09"
(looks like invalid octal number)
UNISLM T5ES054 Unable to configure „run-report-time-out‟, based on requirement.
USVAS T5ES053 While creating a new SLO, in the 'New SLO Rule'window, under the
'Aggregation Information' section, in the 'Method' drop down, there
you can see multiple instances of the same aggregation
method(e.g. three instances of 'Average', etc.), which actually it
should not be.
USVAS T5ES052 In the 'business unit overview' of the Assure, we see abnormal
actual values for the individual SLO's of a contract, in some cases.
UNISLM T5ES051 Occasional failure of scheduled reports.
UNISLM T5ES050 Some of the IP metric instances are showing outage when actually
it's not the case, despite the fact these metric instances have been
created to make use of SNMP system uptime(i.e. while creating
these metric instances, 'check system uptime' option has been
checked).
UNISLM T5ES049 Some of the scheduled reports are failing. The reason behind only
some of the scheduled reports, not all, getting failed is because of
the fact that they have large number of metric instances, besides
they being monthly reports, which take relatively more time to get
themselves executed, hence there is a timeout of a particular child
process and hence the issue.
UNISLM T5ES048 While we create a service event( Calendars -> Service Events ->
Create), whenever the service event's start time and stop time are
differentiated by only the 'seconds portion' (i.e. they, being the
same up to minutes part), we get a warning message saying that
'The start date/time must be earlier than the stop date/time', thus
preventing us from creating the service event.
UNISLM T5ES047 IPNET delay reports show minimum delay value as 0.00.
UNISLM T5ES046 IPNET metric instances are falsely showing down time, when
actually the target in question is UP, in this case the 'Check System
Uptime' option of these metric instances is checked.
UNISLM T5ES044 When we run SLMLOADGROUP in test mode the database gets

updated and the report group gets created.
UNISLM T5ES042 If you click on 'MIB instance:' or 'Test' button of the metric
instance(s) of the type 'SNMP metric'( i.e. Metrics -> Network
interface -> <Metric type> -> <Create Metric Instance> or <Metric
instance>) you see a garbage string instead of the respective SNMP
MIB instance value(s).
UNISLM T5ES041 In case of MIB variables that use SNMP 64 counters, incorrect Band
Width utilization is reported, if the counter goes beyond 2^32-1.
But, as long as the counter is less than 2^32, there is NO
PROBLEM.
UNISLM T5ES039 Unable to convert NSM11.2 performance cubes.
USVAC T5F3067 When an Offline Data View is created with "Execute In Separate
Memory Space" advanced option, after the process is completed,
even though the message shows that the data view is created
successfully, it is not available in the UI.
USVCT T5KA055 If a request name contains '\' character, after submitting the
request, user cannot edit or approve the request.
USVCT T5KA070 When we are exporting and importing the subscriptions from r11.1
to r12.0, import is failing with „out of memory error‟.
USVCT T5KA060 When user subscribes a service to account and try to detach the
SOG from the service it was showing the following message: 'At
least one Service Option Group could not be removed because
accounts are currently subscribed to it. Please unsubscribe all
accounts from selected Service Option Groups before removing
them.'
USVCT T5KA059 If Service Catalog is integrated with Siteminder and XSS check is
enabled in French OS, and when user tries to create SOE, it throws
an error.
USVCT T5KA044 If a user saves a bookmark (a shortcut) to a service as an
alternative to navigating through the catalog, the user can access a
deactivated service and submit requests for it.
USVCT T5KA040 When new user role is added doing a copy of requestmanager
profile, it works fine except when for user search lookup: in this
case, all users of all business units are visible.
USVCT T5LX069 Using the multi select input type for parameters in Data Object
results in incorrect behavior if a test fix related to prevent SQL
Injection attacks is applied.
USVCT T5LX065,
T5LX066 &
T5LX068
The CA Service Catalog search function is vulnerable to SQL
Injection attacks.
USVCT T5DO080 If you send an email from within a request but do not select Rich
Text format, the email received is very badly formatted.
USVCT T5DO082
Requested By user is not appearing in pending action page in
catalog when a user is part of two business units.

service, the group number in the usm_subscription_detail table is
getting only in single thread environment. But it is failing when
multiple threads are run in parallel.
USVCT T5M6032 On a heavy user load if change password screen is invoked then
there is a significant degradation in response time of the application
especially during login.
USVCT T5M6038 When you are requesting a service with many elements associated
with forms that have at least 2 tabs then if you navigate between
the forms and go through changing the elements selected then in
certain circumstances form TAB disappears.
USVCT T5M6050 Unable to set permissions to the request items.
USVCT T5DO108 Request address becomes blank if the address_1 field is blank and
the request is opened and saved during approval.
USVCT T5DO076 When using multiple dashboards with data views the web ui
displays the incorrect links in the top right section of the screen.
This means when the users are seeing dashboards they are not able
to click on the requests link.
USVCT T5DO072 Workflow process instance fails for userid like contains $.
USVCT T5DO106 When use Service Catalogue 'request' webservice to generate
outgoing emails, but when the email address for a contact is
updated by desk, the new value is not picked up by the webservice,
causing emails to go to the wrong recipients.
Fixes Included with Service Pack 4
The following information summarizes the problems resolved by the Service Pack 4. For more
information about a particular problem, search the knowledge base on http://ca.com/support.

BSOVIE T5LX022 Changing the password of the logged in user does not update the
$PASSWORD$ in-session variable.
BSOVIE T5LX026 Dashboard ActiveX controls do not work properly with Internet

BSOVIE T5LX025 Printing a report with multiple pages sends each page as a separate
print job to the printer.
USVCT T5LX020 Request keyword search fails for some keywords like SORF, that is,
keywords containing the SQL keyword 'OR'.

SOG, the deleted information is shown to the user after the import.
USVCT T5DO064 After restarting the Service View service all xsd:string types are
converted into soapenc:string types in WSDL files.
USVCT T5M6015 Users are dropped from their existing CA EEM groups when their
roles are modified from Service Delivery Administrator to any other
role.
USVCT T5DO066 CA Service Catalog is not hiding hidden controls like select, select1,
radio, checkbox in a form even though the type is set as “hidden”.
USVCT T5KA025 When a user saves and reopens a report layout, a new text box is
created in the report layout with the text 'Text!'. This box is created
every time the report is saved, leading to multiple text boxes being
created.
USVCT T5KA026 Using ixutil, when users imports the offerings and rate plans using the ixutil „offeringrateplan‟ command, the system updates the offerings and rateplan details on target system for subsequent
imports.
USVCT T5DO067 When you add notes to CA Service Catalog request, every time you
press Enter (CRLF) in the notes area, 3 empty lines are added.
USVCT T5KA027 Whenever user imports offerings using „offeringrateplan‟ command,
if a rate plan is included in more than one offering, duplicate entries
are created in the usm_rate_definition table.
USVCT T5KA028 When a user changes the account label, the new label is not
reflected in the usm_subscription_detail, usm_adjustment and

USVCT T5F3041 When the "Allow Only One Service Per Request" option is set to
"Yes", after a request is added to the cart, and the user clicks the
trash can icon next to the service to delete it, the user is not
allowed to add a new service. "No Selected Item" is shown on the
screen.
USVCT T5M6017 If the appearance of a form is set to Minimal, the labels with
attribute type Hidden are displayed.
USVCT T5LX027 Copying non-empty folders to WebDAV Document Store does not
work.
USVCT T5F3043 When importing event rules to the destination machine, ixutil does

Important! If the rate item images are created in the secondary

locations in the primary Service View server, so that these images
appear in the primary Service View server too. This is because the
rate item images are now stored with their relative paths. Similarly,
if the rate item images are created in the primary Service View

the secondary Service View server, so that these images appear in

due to browser's ability to retain URLs.
Important! If login through HTTP GET method is necessary for

login.allowGET=true
However, it is strongly advised to not allow login using HTTP GET
