—Risk of electric shock or accident!

Before proceeding with any maintenance operation, it is mandatory to:• Disconnect the power supply to the

power circuit and auxiliary circuits and visibly ground the terminals on both the supply side and load side.

• Use adequate personal protection equip-ment, ensure that the apparatus is in a safe condition and proceed in accordance with the Laws in force.

The maintenance operations must be car-ried out by skilled personnel:• An electrical skilled personnel (IEV 195-

04-01: person with relevant education and experience to enable him or her to perceive risks and to avoid hazards which electricity can create).

• ABB declines all liability for damage to persons or property caused by failure to comply with the instructions in this docu-ment.

SHORT-CIRCUIT WITHSTAND/CLOSING AND SHORT-TIME CURRENT RATINGSWHEN USING SPECIFIC CIRCUIT BREAKERS OR PROTECTED BY FUSES

When protected by a specific circuit breakeror by a fuse of the specific fuse class as marked below, this transfer switch is suitable for use in circuits capable of delivering the short-circuit current at the maximum voltage marked.

When the circuit breaker has a short-time response, it shall be coordinated with the short-time current rating of the transfer switch shown below.

HAZARDOUSVOLTAGEWill cause death, burn or serious injury.

WARNING- more than one live circuit-disconnect all sources of supply before servicing.

TENSION PELIGROSACausa muerte, incendio o accidentes graves.

HAUTE TENSION

WARNING- Verify the condition of power source prior to manually tranferring.Manual operation may result in out-of-phasetransfer when both sources are energized.

For periodic testing and adjusting transfer voltage, transfer frequence and transfer delay time, see the instructional manual.

Suitable for total system transfer where thetungsten load does not exceed 30 percent of the switch rating.Continuous load current not to exceed 100 percent of switch rating.

DANGER/ PELIGRO!

See Chapter 2 to remount the mechanism to the switch.
