SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION Saturdays: 11:00 a.m.
Anytime by calling the parish office for an appointment.
BAPTISMS: Presenting a child for Baptism is a serious
obligation and requires a faith commitment on the part of the parents
and godparents. This commitment is exemplified by being a practicing,
active Catholic. Parents are obligated to attend a preparation session
before a child’s baptism if they have not attended one in the past
five years. Sessions are held at 1:15 p.m. on second Sundays of
January, March, May, July, September and November, in the Parish
Activity Center. Baptisms are at 1:15 p.m. on the third Sunday of
each month except in April when Baptism will be held on the
second Sunday.
WEDDINGS: Please phone the parish office to set-up an
appointment with a priest, in order to begin the sacramental
preparation. Only after this initial meeting and assessment can a date
be set for the wedding. The process requires at least 6 months.
COUNSELING SERVICES: Offered by Bob Skipper at
Spiritual Center of Maria Stein 1-937-299-9005.
NEW PARISHIONERS ARE WELCOME Please come to the parish office to register. If you have a change of
address, phone number or email, please inform the parish office.
THE MOST HOLY TRINITY, JUNE 16, 2019
The Most Holy Trinity The Church is one, holy, catholic, and
apostolic. That oneness is mirrored for us in the Holy
Trinity: one God in three Persons. We are a diverse
community with different backgrounds, cultures,
realities, and gifts, but we are truly one.
Unfortunately, we too often forget this and function
as a fractioned body. We needlessly compete against
one another, judge one another as opposed to help,
and sit silent when our brothers and sisters call out
for help.
When we take seriously our stewardship way
of life, we see our lives as not truly belonging to
ourselves. We want to offer our very existence to God
and the Body of Christ. If we find that we are
resistant to that fullness of generosity, or we begin to
use our gifts in a way that fractures community, we
then actively work in contrast to this mark of the
Church.
The Church that was established by Jesus
and fortified by the institution of the sacraments
cannot be destroyed and deprived of Her four marks.
The human element may be strained and injured,
but not even the gates of hell will prevail against this
institution alive in the Spirit. Our actions can either
bear witness to that reality or it can bring offense.
Let us pray that enough of us will choose the holy
way so all the world may see that God is real, Jesus
is alive, and we are ONE.

Baptism Preparation

by attending a Baptism Preparation Session before
your child is born. Parents are obligated to attend a
preparation session before a child’s baptism if they
have not attended a session in the past five years.
Upcoming sessions will be held at 1:15 p.m. on July
14, September 8 and November 10 in the PAC.
Please call the parish office to register.

Visit Or Anointing?
Local hospitals do not release names of
parishioners who are admitted. To request a hospital
visit, call the parish office. If you anticipate surgery,
the Anointing of the Sick is a comfort and source of
healing. Please call the parish office in advance to
schedule the Anointing.
Legacies and bequests help continue the faith.
Please remember Immaculate Conception Parish in
your will and expressions of sympathy.
