What Parents are
Saying…
About Heather Myers…
“Heather has always been an amazing
part of our family’s life and we will all
miss that constant in our daily lives. I
have many times referred to her as my
right hand, knowing that she was
providing the love and care that my
girls needed in my absence” G. B.
About Cynthia Hall…
“Cynthia has been an exceptional
provider, from day one we have felt
safe leaving our little girls with her. She
is caring, kind and our kids love her.
She has walked H. to preschool for two
years with four other kids in tow in
rain, shine and snow. It is because of
her willingness to go above and beyond
expectations that H. has been able to
attend preschool.” M. and W. S
Thank you to Happy Hooligans for this lovely craft idea.
Materials needed:
Stones - preferably flat - The children can collect them on a nature walk
Stickers, magazine cut-outs, etc.
Mod-Podge Glue - This glue dries shiny and clear.
Create a theme with your stickers or magazine cut-outs. Some examples would be
outer space, animals, or alphabets.
To make your story stones, put a puddle of mod-podge on a stone, and then place
the cut-out in the puddle, and use your fingers to smooth out any air bubbles. With
a sponge brush, smooth and dab a little mod-podge over the cut-out, pressing
around the edges with your fingers to get a good seal between the paper and the
stone. It may look messy, but leave it overnight and in the morning your stones
will be shiny, clear and smooth and look very inviting to children to play with.
Use these for pretend play, alphabet recognition and supporting cognitive
development.

Wasn’t that the best summer we’ve had in a long time? I hope everyone enjoyed the
sunshine as much as I did. With summer being over we are back to offering inser-
vices thru the fall and spring. The dates and locations will be updated next newslet-
ter. Please remember the Turkey Dinner is December 10.this event fills very quickly
we recommend that you RSVP in October and November.
There has some confusion this summer with the policy around doing back up care.
If you do back-up you are paid a prorate amount from the original provider’s fees.
Not your fees and not a daily fee. Also, you are paid for the days which the child
attends and not for any absent days. If you are considering doing back-up and
would like further clarification please call into the office for Louise or Gail.
See you at the Inservices…..Gail
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer!
Providers-do you have any children that are starting Grade One? Is there a change of fee? If so I need to receive that change so we can charge the parent correctly.
The agency offers a prepay of $400 on the 20th of each month for providers that have 2 or more full time children (or equivalent). If you are not on the list and want to be please give me a call so I can get you set up.

After over 6 years with the agency I have made the decision to go back into the Early
Education field. I want to thank everyone with the agency for being so wonderful to
work with! I especially want to thank all the staff at the office for their support and
friendship over the past 6 years. They are such a fantastic team and strive hard as
advocates for children.
Take care all. Have a wonderful Fall! .
