TEACHER AND STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK: May 1 - 5 is Teacher

Appreciation Week. Sageland MicroSociey is blessed with wonderful, inspiring

teachers! Our teachers and staff go above and beyond what is expected to ensure

that all students are safe and successful. Please take a few moments to let your

child’s teacher know that you appreciate them.

PETER PIPER PIZZA FAMILY NIGHT: Join us for our bi-annual Family Night on Thursday, May 4, 2017,

from 4-9 p.m. The entertainment starts at 6:00 pm.

STAAR TESTING FOR GRADES 3rd – 6th: Our teachers and students have been working exceptionally hard to

master all the Texas state standards. We will be testing from Monday, May 8, through Wednesday, May 10. We ask

that you please ensure that students go to bed early and that you encourage your student to do his/her very best.

Also, please make sure that students arrive early to school. The students can eat breakfast at home or they can eat in

school.

MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS: We will be hosting our annual Mother’s Day

Celebration on Friday, May 12th, from 8:30 to 9:30 for Preschool through Second grade and

1:30 to 2:30 for 3rd through 6th grade. Teachers will be sending home additional information.

This is a ladies only event in honor of our special mothers.

ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC: Parents are invited to join Sageland MicroSociety as we celebrate our precious

children with a family picnic on Friday, May 19, from 10:30-12:30. Your child’s teacher will be in contact with you

as to what you will need to bring to the picnic. Looking forward to a great time!

SAGELAND ENGAGE ME SHOWCASE: Our Scotties will be presenting

their GT and STEM (science, math and technology) projects at Sageland

Elementary on Wednesday, May 24, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

SEMANA DE RECONOCIMIENTO A LOS MAESTROS Y EL PERSONAL - Del 1

al 5 de mayo es la semana de agradecimiento al maestro(a). En Sageland

MicroSociedad somos muy afortunados de tener maestras(os) maravillosos e

inspiradores! Nuestros maestros(as) y personal siempre hacen todo lo posible para

que todos los estudiantes estén seguros y sean exitosos. Por favor le pedimos que

tome unos minutos para que les extiendan su agradecimiento a los maestros(as) de

sus hijos.

NOCHE FAMILIAR EN PETER PIPER PIZZA: Acompáñenos en nuestra noche familiar bi-anual el jueves 4 de mayo de

2017, de 4-9 pm. El entretenimiento comienza a las 6:00 pm.

PRUEBAS ESTATALES STAAR PARA LOS GRADOS 3º-6º: Nuestros maestros y estudiantes han estado

trabajando con mucho efuerzo para cumplir y sobrepasar todos los requisitos académicos del estado de

Tejas. El horario de las pruebas será desde el lunes 8 de mayo hasta el miércoles 10 de mayo. Les

agradecemos su apoyo en asegurarse que los estudiantes se duerman temprano y que los animen a

hacer lo mejor posible. También, asegúrese de que lleguen temprano a la escuela. Los estudiantes

pueden desayunar en casa o pueden comer en la escuela.

CELEBRACIONES DEL DÍA DE LA MADRE: El viernes, 12 de mayo, celebraremos a

nuestras madres con presentaciones especiales de parte de los estudiantes. Presentaciones de

grados preescolares hasta segundo grado se llevaran acabo de 8:30 a 9:30 am. Presentaciones de

grados tercer a sexto serán de 1:30 a 2:30 pm. Los maestros enviarán información adicional a su

casa. Este evento será exclusivo solamente para mujeres en honor de nuestras madres especiales.

DIA DE CAMPO FAMILIAR: Los padres están invitados a venir a Sageland MicroSociety mientras celebramos a nuestros preciosos niños con un día de campo familiar el viernes 19 de mayo, de 10:30 a 12:30. El maestro de su hijo (a) estará en contacto con usted en cuanto a lo que necesitará traer al día de campo. ¡Tendremos un tiempo estupendo!

SAGELAND ENGAME ME SHOWCASE: Nuestros Scotties presentarán sus proyectos GT y STEM (ciencia, matemáticas y tecnología) en Sageland Elementary el miércoles 24 de mayo, de 5:30 a 6:30 p.m.
