17th September 2019 – Week 9 – Term 3
SCHOOL CONCERT - Save the date – Wednesday 25th September (Week 10) We will be having a school concert on Wednesday, 25th September from 6.00pm in the hall.
Tickets: $5.00 – Adults $2.00 – Children Tickets are available from the office.
Students who are performing on the evening will be cared for in the holding rooms. The concert should run for approximately one and half hours. Performers will see the other items at the dress rehearsal. The canteen will be open from 4.30-5.30pm selling drinks, ice-blocks and chips. The classroom teachers will send all class information about the concert home with the children. Kindergarten 2020 Orientation – Term 4 Goonellabah Public School is conducting a Kindergarten orientation program for students starting school in 2020. The program starts Thursday, 24th October and runs each Thursday for 4 weeks from 9am – 1pm. If you know of any pre-schoolers who will be starting school in 2020, please inform their families of our program and ask them to contact the school on 6624 1444. Gazetted Half Day Holiday – Thursday, 19th September (this week) There is a gazetted half-day holiday for the Lismore Cup Race on Thursday, 19th September. Classes will be finishing at 12noon. End of Term K-6 Assembly (Week 10) Our end of Term K-6 assembly will be held on Monday, 23rd September from 9.30am in the school hall. All bronze and silver awards should be handed in at the office by this Friday, 20th September. End of Term 3 Last day for this term is Friday, 27th September. School returns for students and teachers on Monday, 14th October 2019. Mark Spencer, Principal
