will begin the year with a study of 1 John. Anyone who is inter-
ested in growing in your knowledge and understanding of this
book from the New Testament is welcome to join us! If you
know you are coming, please let me know. If not, you are still WELCOME! I will have materi-

Beginning September 30th, join us at 11 am
on Sunday mornings in the Library as we Dig
Deeper into the Word. Using that morning's
worship service as a starting point, we will
discuss how we take our faith out of the sanc-
tuary and into our daily lives. How does the
scripture shape us? How do the hymns inspire and move us? What does
the sermon call us to do and be? Rev. Laura will facilitate this class.

MMA (Medina Ministerial Association) hosts Muslim Talk
Masroor and Simee Malik will speak in the Fellowship Hall of the Medina Presbyter-
ian Church on Monday, September 10 at 7:00 PM. The talk is free and open to the
public.
The two will speak on the theology and history of the Muslim faith, and on their own experiences as Muslims
in American Society. Following their talk, members of the audience will be invited to ask questions and ex-
plore areas of common concern between the two faiths.
“According to the apostle Paul, those of us who are followers of Jesus have been given a ministry of reconcili-
ation,” commented Henry Pearce, pastor of the Presbyterian church. “And in the America of our time, building
bridges of reconciliation and understanding between Christians and Muslims is one of our most pressing
tasks.”
