They are perceived as equals when it comes to leadership qualities like intelligence and capacity for innovation. On other qualities—honesty, fairness, compassion and willingness to compromise—women are seen as superior. Still, though, congresswomen only make up 19% of Congress; female CEOs are only 5% of all Fortune 500 CEOs; and women business owners still face more challenges in starting and growing their businesses than men. In this pivotal election year, the theme of the National Women’s Business Conference, Leading the Way, will celebrate women’s incredible influence and accomplishments to date and inspire you to reach even higher and farther in the future.
