Brief Description of Duties: The Supervising Janitor will direct in-house operational personnel as assigned in the cleaning of the Main Campus facilities to maintain and improve appearance and ensure the general safety, health and comfort of the students, faculty, and staff. The incumbent will ensure that all resources required to support the cleaning needs are provided for (including materials, equipment, and personnel) in order to complete the assigned work in the most economical, efficient, and timely manner possible with minimal inconvenience to the campus community. The successful candidate will:

Oversee all assigned buildings, supervising the staff to adhere to cleaning standards and cleaning procures

within their assigned buildings. Routinely report maintenance deficiencies within their assigned buildings.Supervise assigned staff, provide verbal and written reports as they relate to hiring, training, employee

performance evaluation, personnel policy, verbal and written counseling. Plan a continual work schedule in the cleaning and care of the buildings assigned. Complete weekly time sheets for employees. Inform and instruct staff of agency policies and directives in meetings and in memoranda.Inspect buildings and assigned areas for compliance with cleaning programs utilizing custodial software.

Investigate complaints of unsatisfactory cleaning performance and take corrective action to avoid repetition and resolve problems. Enters work orders for any maintenance deficiencies found in their buildings.Provide verbal and written instructions to staff for special requested services that vary from routine operations

and ensure that staff has necessary supplies and equipment to perform tasks.Prepare and supervise periodic reports such as work activity, cost reports, attendance records, and manpower

utilization and advise management staff of the status of custodial operations in a timely manner.Supervise the arrangement, set-up, and breakdown of premises for special events, such as graduation exercises

and conferences.

Special Notes: This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Mandatory rehire roster candidates have preference.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. IRB and DOH familiarity. SAS knowledge. Budget experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Public Health or related field. Knowledge of Pediatric departmental policies and procedures. Experience with computer and data base management, research and data analysis skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments and outside agencies. Familiarity with Human Resources issues and policies. Skills in coordinating multiple, simultaneous ongoing program demands. Knowledgeable in budget preparation and allocations. Organizational abilities, attention to detail, dependability and trustworthiness.

Brief Description of Duties: The Program Coordinator will assist in the oversight of the Keeping Families Health home visitation program as well as working towards the goals and missions of Stony Brook Long Island Children's Hospital. Professionalism and excellent communication are expected. The Program Coordinator will get direct supervision from the Program's Medical Director and the Division Chief of Primary Care Pediatrics. The selected candidate will:

Directly supervise 4-8 Community Health workers (CHW) that visit the homes of the families enrolled in the

program. Maintain regular communication with the medical team and contacts at Federation.Continuously improve the quality of the Keeping Families Health program by building upon existing relationships

with SB Pediatric department and local organizations. Coordinate continued training for the CHWs on new and updated health information. Monitor and maintain accuracy and completeness of the data obtained, and ensure all communication between enrolled families, their pediatricians and the program staff are constant.Be responsible for ensuring that the program is running smoothly, troubleshooting and developing solutions for

programmatic problems.Actively enroll patients into the program in order to meet goals for the Department of Health and for research

purposes.Assist with scholarly research activities such as submissions to IRB, literature searches and scientific writing.

Assist Program Director and CEO of Federation of Organizations in contract development and management. Be

responsible for reviewing monthly invoices for approval, ordering program supplies, submitting employee timesheets and travel reimbursement forms.Be responsible for supervising Research Aides, including accurate, complete and appropriate data collection;

delegate research related assignments.Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes: This is a full time position. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
