The NilesChamber Dollars forScholars Charter is an all vol-unteer committee dedicatedto our youth. In the pasteleven years this program hasawarded over $113,000 inscholarships to area students.The Niles Chamber Dollars
for Scholars program is an allvolunteer chapter of theNational ScholarshipAmerica organization. Thiscommittee raises money togrant scholarships to localstudents and to the childrenof chamber memberemployees. This is a great
way to be active in the com-munity, get involved withlocal schools and give backto the community. The com-mittee meets the firstThursday of every month at8:30 a.m. in the NilesChamber Conference Room.
Betty Butler is a nationally exhibit-ing artist specializing in fine artdigital collages of her own paintingand nature photography. A nativeChicagoan, she graduated with aB.A. in Design from UIC afterstudying fine arts in New YorkCity. She recently won three show-case awards on www.ArtSlant.com,an international art network, in the'new media' category. Betty discov-ered an original way to combine
