    Hurricane Floyd Hits OakMountain.,,No, this s not a tabloid ine o get your attention. t hassome truth to it . lf you have noticed he smell of smokeon your recent rides at Oak Mountain, he source is aresultof the brisk winds in the area due to the forces ofHurricane loyd.According o Mr. Darrell Ingramof Oak Mountain StatePark, hikers reporteda small fire on August 8 near theYellow Trail. The fire was investigatedand a fire breakwas made to contain he blaze.The damage amountedto approximately 2.5 acres being burned. The firejumped he containment uts a coupleof days later andconsumed 6 acres before it was put under control bypark personnel and bulldozers.
