Covid 19
The most welcome news this week was that the Vaccines againstCovid 19 were cleared by the authorities in the UK and the EU.Please do have your vaccines as soon as you qualify as this is thequickest route to removing restrictions. My wife and are awaiting oursecond Pfizer jabs and no side effects whatsoever from our first 6weeks ago.
Vision for the future
The District Council approved its Corporate Plan which contained itsambitious vision for the future. This can be found here Vision tocreate tomorrow together approved - Folkestone & Hythe DistrictCouncil (folkestone-hythe.gov.uk)
Princes Parade
Preparatory work is continuing in line with and under the supervisionof Ecological experts. I am satisfied that the Council is complyingwith the Ecological guidance and that disruption form the exploratorywork will be minimized. Full details of progress and ongoingupdates can be found here
https://www.folkestone-hythe.gov.uk/news/princes-parade-works
I have always been open about my support for this development andcontinue to believe that when finished it will enhance the setting andprovide the much needed new Pool and Fitness Centre. Others willcontinue to disagree, but the fact is that the Council is committed tothe project and any delaying tactics to the Councils lawful actions bythose opposed could lead to unnecessary costs.

Recycling
We are encouraging residents to help further improve our recyclingrates with a few simple tips
It is very easy to throw cardboard in our recycling bins without asecond thought. However, breaking down your cardboard intosmaller pieces will make much more space in your bin at home, aswell as make it easier for our crews.
Due to the pandemic, many residents are buying more productsonline and by following a few simple steps, small actions can makehuge difference."

Very funny, and surreal story about a man and a woman ontheir first date: Bolton Brady and Veda, set in London,November 2001. Bolton is forty, not into assets, has neverlived with a woman and looked into the future and seenloneliness. So he decides to do something about it. Headvertises in a lonely-hearts column, and receives six replies, but after experiencing one disaster after another only Vedaremains between him and his sanity. As the day unfolds theline between reality and fantasy becomes blurred, building to asurreal, yet poignant, conclusion.

Do look at the church notice board for furtherannouncements.
Talking of which, we are trying to raise money to erect a newnotice board with a door to protect the notices as the existing
one is rotten and doorless.Since Covid-19 wehave had to put the notices outside. If anyonefeels able to make a contribution we would bevery grateful. This can be done by using the QRcode shown or handing the contribution to anyChurch member.
