SEMINAR WITH MARK JONES SENSEI
Mark Jones is the senior most student of Katori Shinto Ryu in the United States under Sugawara Sensei. Mark was the first American to receive a menkyo kaiden and the rank of kyoshi in Katori Shinto Ryu from Sugawara Sensei. He also holds the rank of rokudan, 6th degree black belt, in Aikido, and has studied under several instructors in the United States and Japan, including Dr. William Morris, Saito Sensei, and Sugawara Sensei. He has also studied Tai Chi and Karate. Mark founded Aikido of Napa in 1983, where he has taught Katori Shinto Ryu for over a decade.
FRIDAY, May 3 7-9 pm: Katori Shinto Ryu SATURDAY, May 4 11:30 am-12:30 pm: Aikido* 2-4 pm: Katori Shinto Ryu SUNDAY, May 5 9-11:30 am: Katori Shinto Ryu 1 – 3:00 pm Katori Shinto Ryu FEES $90/weekend or $25/class. *There is only one aikido class on Saturday, which is free to attendees, and to members of Capital Aikikai.
