DIRECTOR OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ACADEMYHolds a Bachelor of Law (Honors) degree and a Master of Intellectual Property. Former Director of the Copyright Division from November 2011 to December 2017. Has experience in national and international copyright issues. Attends international meetings and conferences including the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) WIPO, Geneva. Involved in the implementation of the Copyright (Amendment) Act 2012 includes enacting Copyright Regulations relating to the Licensing Body, the Copyright Tribunal and the voluntary Notice of Copyright.
OBJECTIVE:a. Exposure and understanding of copyright from idea to commercialization.b. Enhance basic understanding of ownership and protection of copyrighted works.c. Basic disclosures regarding the prevention and enforcement of copyrighted works.
