Main goal of this project is to develop certain competences of youth workers (coordinators, mentors, etc.), coming from accredited EVS organisations, so they would be able to provide better help to EVS volunteers before, during and after their projects. “Volunteering: Step Forward to Entrepreneurship and Employability” consists of two parts, this seminar is a continuation of a training course that happened in Poland, Milicz in the end of September/beginning of October.

Partner countries in this project are:Poland, Republic of Macedonia, Italy, Hungary, Estonia, Romania, Germany, Finland, Spain, Turkey,

Latvia, Slovenia.

*Each country should send 2 participants*The project is consisted of two mobilities: Training Course in Milicz, Poland (25.09-03.10.2018) and Seminar in Struga, Republic of Macedonia (20-28.11.2018). Participants are obliged to attend both

activities.

The seminar will aim to support exchange of practices, networking between the organizations andthe process of creating new projects which will lead to higher quality of volunteering project across Europe and world wide.

Key objectives of the project:

- To increase competencies of youth workers, youth leaders, mentors/tutors working with EVS to identify and to explore the needs and interests of EVS volunteers related to employability and entrepreneurship; - To develop competencies of youth workers, youth leaders, mentors/tutors to develop tailor-made learning support for EVS volunteers; - To strengthen knowledge of youth workers, youth leaders, mentors/tutors on tools capturing learning and increasing employability and entrepreneurial mindset of EVS volunteers; - To increase capacities of participating organizations to design quality services supporting development of competencies essential for the job market and/or development of businesses; - To support networking and brainstorming ideas for new projects increasing the quality of voluntary and EVS services. - How to effectively support EVS volunteers in development of their personal and professional competencies and to reduce the level of unemployment of ex - EVS volunteers.

Target group of both mobility activities will be youth leaders, workers, mentors and tutors motivatedto increase quality of EVS services in their organizations. Both activities will include people with fewer opportunities facing social, economic, cultural and geographical obstacles. Continuing the project during the seminar participants will share lessons learned during the training course and how it was implemented in their organisations. Seminar will also focus on improving the capacities of participating organisations and their volunteers, sharing good practice in different countries, brainstorming how to make Youthpass and experience gained during volunteering more valuable, working with communities, trying to understand needs of local people, working on future projects.

AccommodationSeminar will take place in Struga, town situated in the south of Republic of Macedonia, near the Ohrid lake. Participants will be staying in hotel “Solferino” through the whole duration of the seminar. Activity room and the restaurant are all in the territory of the hotel. Rooms for 2 people will be provided for participants. Toiletries will be provided by the hotel. Wi-Fi works in all the facilities of the hotel. We will cover full board accommodation, food and lodging for the days of the training course, three meals per days + two coffee breaks.

Travel costs of all participants will be covered by the budget of the project in accordance with the Distance Calculator of the European Commission.

Budget for all participants is 275 EUR per person, except for Finland which is 360 EUR per person.

Travel reimbursement will be done maximum 45 days after the end of the activity through bank transfer to one of the participants or the sending organization, after sending all the original tickets and filling the Participant Mobility Report. In order to reimburse the travel costs, we will need original tickets, invoices and boarding passes. We can make the reimbursement based on these documents, so please keep your tickets/boarding passes in a safe place, during the whole travel, to Struga, Macedonia and back home. We will make reimbursement by bank transfer as soon as we receive all documents connected with travel costs after the project. Tickets and reimbursement

Insurance Participants are responsible for getting their own travel insurance and any medicaments and treatment that they use. The project does NOT cover for the insurance and medications.

Important 1. Check if your travel documents (passport or ID for participants from countries that can enter Macedonia with ID) are valid.2. Remember about travel documents. Do not forget to collect your boarding passes and any other bills/tickets from your travel.3. Take medicines that you use.4. Pack cosmetics.5. The electricity is standard European: 220V, 50Hz, 2 pin plugs.6. Feel free to bring information about your organization and activities that your organizations are doing.7. The program of the seminar will include intercultural evening thus you are welcome to bring with you something to taste, some music or anything presenting your culture.

CurrencyCurrency is Macedonian Denar. 1 EURO = 61,5 Macedonian Denars. You can find exchange office at airport, bus station and in the city. In shops (especially bigger ones) you can easily pay with credit card. Before leaving do not forget to exchange Macedonian denars back to euros or your cur-rency, because Macedonian denars are not possible to exchange outside of Macedonia. Travel and transport issuesWhen you will buy a ticket to Republic of Macedonia, please let us know ASAP, then we will able to figure out who is coming when - and hopefully at least for some of you organize our own transport directly from the airport :)

When you will arrive to Skopje International Airport (SKP), exchange no more than 20 euros at the airport, it should be enough for both of your bus tickets.

Take a bus to Skopje transport center, the ticket is 180 mkd (3 euro) and you can buy it in the bus or at Manola Shuttle store on airport. Check the timetable for more information https://www.manoragroup.com/en Then - check for the next bus from Skopje to Struga. One way tickets cost around 500 - 600 mkd (8 - 10 euro) and you can buy it from the Skopje Tranport center. Buses to Struga from the Skopje Transport center in 20.10.18:

(Be aware that there could be changes in the schedule, so please check the website or contact us to be sure: http://www.sas.com.mk/en/VozenRed.aspx) Hotel Solferino - Struga, is located at street “Partizanska”, number 22. The city has no airport, nor railway, so you can reach it only by bus or car. From the main bus station you can reach the hotel by taxi. Or if you arrive at the bus stop nearby the hotel DRIM, you are in the center of the city and only 10 minutes walk on the main street you will see from your right side the yellow/green hotel with parking place. The price of the taxi from the bus station in Struga to the hotel should be around 50 - 80 MKD - it means around 1 - 1,5 EUR. (1 EUR=61.5 MKD)
