ISRM General introduction

• In March 2003 Standardization Institute of the Republic of Macedonia (ISRM) was established as an independent public institution, separating from the Bureau of Standardization and Metrology

• ISRM as the only national standards body in the Republic of Macedonia represents the interests of the Republic of Macedonia in international and European standardization


ISRM is official recognised national standards body in the Republic of Macedonia, competent for all areas covered by :

European Committee for Standardization

European Committee for Electro technical Standardization

European Telecommunications Standards Institute

ISRM as national standards body of the Republic of Macedonia is responsible for the standardization process in the following sectors covered by the existing ISRM technical infrastructure (ISRM TCs, Working groups and the ISRM Programming Committee):

products for household and leisure use;

mechanical engineering;

metallic materials;

non-metallic materials;

environment, health and medical equipment;

transport, mechanical handling and packaging;

general electro technical standards;

• All the standards and standardization documents from the mirror TC 250 are adopted as Macedonian by endorsement in 2012

• SEMINAR _HARMONIZATION OF NATIOAL AND EUROPEAN STANDARDIZATION IN THE FIELD OF GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING,organized by CEN and ISRM TK40 &ТК11 (TAIEX ), Hotel Continental -Skopje, March 2011.

• Workshop: TAIEX 41313 Expert mission on Nationally Determined Parameters to Eurocode 7. In organization of CEN and ISRM, supported by GTZ Brussels. Skopje 17-20 May 2010.
