STOGIT Gas Storage

plants managed by STOGIT. In each site there are

a compression plant and a treatment plant.

center the user stations can take control of the

remote-controlled sites.

STOGIT Telecontrol Centre

STOGIT stores natural gas into sites formerly dedicated

to production.

The system coordinates and integrates each site storage

capacity into the overall storage system.

At each time the overall storage control system selects

which plant has to be involved as storage or supply in

order to ensure adequate gas level basing on

programmed schedule.

Disaster Recovery Center of Sergnano System platform is equipped with a videowall to

share the plant status.

The dynamic process database is centralized in

the SCADA systems (each one in redundant withhot-backup configuration) and historical data are

stored in the storage station that supports an

Oracle Server (also in redundant configuration).

Communication with remote storage facilities (via

FEP) is based on IEC 60870-5-104 standard.

TERNA HV Substation Automation and

Telecontrol Gateway (SAS Station Computer)

High Voltage Substation Automation for several

(22 until now) TERNA substations in Italy.

The system has been one of the first complete

application of the IEC61850 protocol and system

configuration standard.

The IEC standard is used in LAN communication,

connecting to SCADA the Bay Control Unit (BCU) e

Bay Monitoring Unit (BMU) and Bay Protection

Unit (BPU).

The gateway function provides the connection to

remote TERNA telecontrol centers; the protocol

used is IEC 61870-5-104.

Using the gateway function the station can be

completely controlled from the TERNA CTI

(Telecontrol Centre).
