7.1 Innovations

7.2.1 Give details of innovations introduced during the last four years which have

created a positive impact on the functioning of the institution.

Innovations in Research, Consultancy and Extension

Students are encouraged to do a innovative research by involving them in the

competitions like PT innovations in the annual „Physiofest‟ event, where the Concept of

Research is associated with fun and hence help inculcating research culture.

We have extended our consultancy by sending our students and faculty for Pune

Marathon and Oxfam Walkathon.

We have started our Extension activities at SEARCH (Society for Education Action and

Research in Community Health) Foundation Gadchiroli and have MOU with “Ananya

Better Life Foundation” for training the care givers of elderly AT Mahivat.

We also have collaboration with “Eskay Industries” to enhance their work productivity.

Innovation in Student Support and Progression

Enhancing the physical & psychological wellbeing of the students during their study

years has been the one of the objectives of the institution. In this view, SKNCOPT is

providing health related fitness to their students. The classes are organised on every

Saturday & various forms of physical fitness program such as yoga & Pilates sessions are

being conducted in the yoga lab. The session is conducted for both undergraduate and

postgraduate students. The objective of the program is to enhance the capacities of the

students so that they can cope up with their physical and physiological stressors

effectively.

Innovations in Governance, Leadership and Management

We have started one more student centric activity where students organize

extracurricular programs on every 5th

Saturday under the guidance of teachers. This

how they are made responsible and they get to sharpen their governance, leadership

and management skills.
