IHG® Way of Clean 5-S Cleaning Program Guide – Cleaning Public Areas | 2

Public Areas often create the first impression our guests have with IHG® hotels. So, it is very important that the moment a guest walks through the doors, there is no doubt in their mind that everything in the hotel is clean and well maintained. Whether your team is cleaning a meeting room, fitness center or a restroom, using the 5-S Process will help ensure everything is clean, feels 'like new', and is in its place.

Public Areas

We need to ensure that all Public Areas are consistently maintained to the highest standard, and are spotlessly clean.

Take pride when cleaning and maintaining all hotel Public Areas to help build the 'Culture of Clean' throughout IHG hotels.

See how the 5-S Process can be used to clean common Public Areas on the following pages.
