If your application number (14XXX)1 is not on this list, we thank you for your application. We have received a large number of applications (370), and if your application number is not on the list, it means that you have not been selected to attend the master course. We wish you good luck for your master studies in another program. If your application number (14XXX) is on this list, it means that you have been selected by the selection committee (pending approval of the TU Bergakademie student office) to attend the master in Computational Materials Science at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. Non- officially, we congratulate you, and we are looking forward to meeting you in Freiberg at the beginning of October 2014.

For the accepted applicants, these are the next steps:

1. Your application is under review at the student office (for validity of the documents). If

everything is in order, then the student office will mail you the admission letter by post. In the meantime, we can send you by email a copy of the admission letter, should you need one to initiate the opening of the blocked bank account or your German visa procedure.

2. Once you received the admission letter by post, please inform us at admission.cms@imfd.tu-freiberg.de of your intention (confirmation of attendance or withdrawal of your application).

3. If you have not received the admission letter by June 30, 2014, please contact us at: admission.cms@imfd.tu-freiberg.de, and we will update you on the status of your application (always use your registration number for correspondence).

4. If you are interested in a room in one of the student hostels, please apply online at: http://www.studentenwerk-freiberg.de/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=177&Itemid=185&lang=en A limited number of rooms in the students hostels are reserved for CMS students and they are allocated on a “first come, first serve” basis (inform us at admission.cms@imfd.tu-freiberg.de once you applied for a room in the students hostels). However, if you did not receive a room in the student hostels, then at the beginning of August 2014 and during September 2014 we will help you to find a private room (rent is almost the same as in the student hostels).

5. If you are planning to attend the CMS program, once you know when you will land in Germany, we invite you to register to the buddy program at http://tu-freiberg.de/en/international/buddy-programme.
