    The following table shows kinematic viscosity for standard ISO VG oils at given temperatures.Viscosity has to be considered not only when calculating power absorbed by the pump, but also to check self-priming capability (also related to driving speed and intrinsically dependent on pump size).

    Figures stated are subject to variations, due to other factors i.e. oil additives or when oils are developed for specific application, due to this figures in this table are

    for example only.

    NPSH is an acronym for Net Positive Suction Head It indicates the pressure required by the pump in order to provide suction without cavitation.It is opportune that a margin of a meter of liquid column is provided between NPSH available in the system and the NPSH required by the pump.
