Gregory and Sandra Walker ~ George and Rita Wyatt

Lifelong Friends Partner in a Career of Senior Care

Gregory Walker and George Wyatt have been friends since high school. Now, along with their wives Sandra Walker and Rita

Wyatt, they have leveraged that relationship to form a partnership of a different kind: owners of Sitters Etc. of London Kentucky aligned with the rapidly expanding home care franchise, both couples provide uniquely compassionate senior care services including meal preparation, house-work, transportation, medication reminders and more to clients throughout 36 Eastern and South-eastern Kentucky counties.

Working for Leslie County as its coroner since 1990, Gregory Walker is intimately familiar with the importance of providing compassionate care to clients. George Wyatt, working for the last 13 years in nursing home care, is himself aware of the struggles that often face those deciding between home care and care at a facility. This combined insight, spurred by a desire to provide much-needed care held to a higher standard, drove the two longtime friends to collaborate and bring Sitters Etc. to Kentucky as the first standing one.

“Both George and I recognized a deficiency in the kind of care provided for seniors in our area,” said Gregory Walker. “When the opportunity to better the situation for both seniors and their families presented itself through Sitters Etc., the choice was an easy one to make.”

With Sitters Etc. the Walker and Wyatt couples will be introducing a home care provider founded on principals of compassionate care for both seniors and their family members. This, said George Wyatt, is often something care providers fail to consider.

“ What many people ignore about those who need special care is that the

loved ones involved

in making that decision are oftenjust as affected as those receiving the

care.

”-George Wyatt

“What makes Sitters Etc. unique is the company’s recognition of this fact and the attention its highly qualified caregivers pay to ensuring family members have peace of mind as their loved one is cared for.” The significance that Walker and Wyatt has introduced Sitters Etc. to Kentucky is not lost on them. On the contrary, said Walk-er, bringing the franchise to Kentucky will provide them with a unique opportunity to bring attention to the needs of seniors and their families.

“Sitters Etc. represents the best of senior home care,” said Walker. “The level of training our caregivers are given as a result of Sitters Etc.’s rigorous standards and the compassion our caregivers will provide exemplifies the higher standards in home care we hope to create throughout Kentucky.”

Founded in 2002 by Beau K. Brothers, Sitters Etc. was born out of a desire to provide quality, compassionate care services for the elderly. Based on his ex-periences witnessing his grandmother’s own care, which never provided the family peace of mind, Brothers aspired to provide care services which would help seniors and their loved ones alike. As it enters its 13th year in service of the elderly and disabled, Sitters Etc. will expand to more and newer markets based on the growing senior and disabled population. The company has been offering the opportunity to franchise since 2013. Sitters Etc. has area developers in Kentucky/Southern Ohio, Florida and Georgia. A multi-unit franchisee will begin operations in Eastern Kentucky Q2 2015.
