The Roman Aqueduct (2,000 years old, nearly 100 feet tall and almost a half-mile long) dominates the city with its majestic presence. The superb Alcázar (11th century) was a residence of kings and queens for centuries. The Cathedral (16th century) is one of the finest Gothic monuments in Spain. Medieval art and culture can be traced through Romanesque churches, manorial towers, convents, monasteries, and palaces. In Segovia, centuries of history and art contrast attractively with its modern urbanism. Daily contact with native speakers, all courses taught in Spanish, and living accommodations with Spanish host families provide students with a total language and cultural immersion experience.
