Once SEM receives your materials they are counted and/or weighed to ensure that the contents match the shipping manifest. When verified, SEM accepts liability for the purpose of destruction.

All material is destroyed within 24 to 48 hours of receipt in our Westboro, MA facility. Prior to destruction, items are stored in a locked cage within a limited access area.

SEM destruction personnel undergo rigorous screening and background checks to meet cleared federal government regulations. Photo identification is displayed conspicuously at all times.

Local customers are invited to view items being destroyed in person. National customers can observe destruction in real time via IP cameras. A DVD recording of the destruction can also be supplied.
