SECTION – A
PLAN OF ACTION CHALKED OUT BY THE IQAC IN THE BEGINNING OF THE
YEAR 2010-11 TOWARDS QUALITY ENHANCEMENT
After the visit of the peer committee, the evaluation report of the team was discussed
threadbare and an introspection of the institution was made by the IQAC. The IQAC met
several times and worked out detailed programme for the continual improvement in
academics, curricula, infrastructure and healthy practices.

Modern teaching aids like Charts ,OHP’s LCD, PPt’s and educational CD’s were
extensively used in classrooms for effective teaching.

Special seminars and lectures for student of different streams are arranged on subjects that
they do not study in classroom.
5. Examination reforms:
We have formed internal squad while conducting University Examinations.
The college conducts internal examinations, preparatory examinations on a regular basis.
Departments on their own do continuous evaluation by conducting regular tests, assignments
etc., model question papers and previous years question papers are discussed in the class
rooms.

18. Community Services
NSS unit of our college is actively participating in various community services like
planting trees, organizing blood donation camps in association with rotary club. The
NSS helped the victims of floods, by collecting money and cloths.
Eco club – “PARISARA PRAGNA” of our college organized a programme on
environment protection highlighting the ban on plastic and emphasizing the usage of Eco
Friendly Ganesha Idols. They organized a procession in Rajajinagar area drawing
attention of the public towards eco friendly practices. Students of B.Sc have taken up a
project on pollution of lakes due to Ganesh Idol Immersion in Bangalore north.
NCC unit of our college is very active and participated in various programmes like
organizing Blood Donation Programmes, Planting trees and participating in Eco-
Ganesha Jatha creating awareness about the ill effects of led used in paints.
Spandana- women’s cell of our college conducted lecture on general health awareness
and Legal awareness to girl’s students. Exhibition cum sale of Handi-crafts and food
without fire was also organised.

21. Improvement in the library services
During the examination time the working hours of library is extended by one hour
i.e. (3.30pm to 4.30pm)
A number of journals educational magazines and CDs and books on competitive exams
have been added like education works, electronic for you, chips.
Steps are initiated to computerize library facility of our college.

As token of respect GURUVANDANA programme was held on teacher’s day and

Bangalore University in all India inter university Kho-Kho competition held at
Ambedkar university, Andhra Paradesh
Goutham S (VI Sem B.Com) an athlete has represented the college and has won many
prizes in various athletic meets.
Rajshekar M (VI Sem B.Com) Cricketer has participated in national and international
cricket Competitions. He has won in international tennis ball cricket competition held at
pokra in Nepal from July 24th-28th 2010. He has also represented Karnataka in national
team held at Nagpur in Maharashtra. He has won prize in state level cricket competition
organized by Acharya College.
Gangadhar P and Naveen N (VI Sem B.Com) students has represented Karnataka
national level cricket competition held at Nagpur, Maharashtra and has won the medal.
Rajashekar N (II sem B.Com) has represented Karnataka national junior level kabadi
competition held at ankaleshwar, Assam from Jan 22nd to 27th jan 2011 and won the
trophy.
Revanna (VI Sem B.A) Student participated in national football competition held at
Nagpur, Maharashtra from 1st to 3rd February 2011 and won the trophy. He has also
represented Mumbai Marathon National Level Competition held on January 14th 2011.

Track Suit and Track Shoes are provided to Sports Personalities
Conveyance and Also Accommodation Allowances provided by college to sports
persons.
Sports person are also encouraged to take training in reputed organizations.

Department wise student induction programme was held at the beginning of every
academic year and highlighting the importance of their respective discipline.
Informal counseling has been done by identifying irregular

For the first time a job fair was held in our college on 19th and 20th February 2011 in
collaboration with viva management consultants the companies in the area of IT, ITES, KPO,
BPO, Finance and Retail sector participated in job fair around 850 students from various
institution such as KLE College, RPA, Maharani College, Sheshadripuram College, MLA
College etc. participated. Total of 200 students from different colleges were selected by the
companies out of which 37 students from our college.

Non-Teaching staff undergo training in computers and internet regularly
Account superintends and managers underwent training and work shop on
administration held by joint director collegiate education department.
Accountants and clerks underwent training in HRMS.
Accountants underwent training in Tally.

An orientation programme familiarizing the fresher with all the facilities of the college is
conducted at the beginning of the academic year.
Students are encouraged to visit different places by organizing tours.
Departmental libraries are maintained and students are encouraged to utilize it.

Few departments have instituted cash awards for meritorious students in their respective
subjects.

popular form of folk dance – “Kumsale” in wold famous Dhasara festival in Mysore.
