Once again we will be collec�ng bags of sugar to help fill the Christmas baskets for families in our area. We are commi�ng to collect 600 bags of sugar. The sugar bins will be in the ves�bule of the church.
The sugar will be picked up by the Kenne� Area Communi-ty Service on Wednesday, December 13. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY SUGAR IN THE CHURCH AFTER THIS DATE.
Care Notes-The holidays can be a very difficult �me when you have lost a loved one. In our ves�bule we have “Care Notes” available. These pamphlets address how you may be feeling at this �me of year. Feel free to take any that you may need. You are not alone, God is hold-ing you in the palm of his hand. 236

This year, Fr. Rogers and St. Patrick Church will join
with ABVM in West Grove for the Annual March for
Life in Washington. This year’s March is on Friday,
January 19. Please consider joining us for this im-
portant, faith-filled witness. Details coming soon.

My Dear Parishioners,
Praised be Jesus Christ and Happy Second Sunday of Advent! This week gives me a chance to
thank everyone who made our Thanksgiving Day so special. From the Mass to the Dedication and
Blessing of our Fr. Sharrett Courtyard, it was a super day. Our choir sounded wonderful, the
attendance at the Mass was extraordinary and the ceremony itself was a blessing. It made for a very proud pastor and
an even prouder Pastor Emeritus. Fr. Sharrett was absolutely delighted. I thank all who were present and who
honored him by your presence that day. Be sure to see the pictures on our website and take note of the new sign
which marks the entrance of our new Courtyard.
Speaking of the Courtyard, this evening is our St. Patrick Christmas Celebration. The evening will begin at 4 PM in
Church with performances by our Children’s and Adult Choirs, our Children’s Christmas Tableaux will follow with a
candlelight procession into the Fr. Sharrett Courtyard for the Blessing and Lighting of the Tree. Don’t miss this
special opportunity to gather with, for and as the family of St. Patrick!
This year’s Christmas tree in the center of the Fr. Sharrett Courtyard is particularly beautiful. A word of thanks to the
Knights of Columbus for acquiring the tree, setting it up and decorating it so well. In addition, please be sure to visit
our new outdoor Nativity. This was donated to our parish by the Stetz family of Frackville, PA. I saw it advertised a
few weeks ago on Craigslist and they responded by gifting this beautiful Nativity to us! Mr. Stetz passed away this
past year and all they asked was to be remembered in prayer. Would you please say a prayer for them as you visit the
Creche Scene?
This week, we enter closer to the shortest days of the calendar year. The time when daylight is at its minimum. We
remember our Jewish brothers and sisters who begin the Feast of Lights, Hanukkah this week. And we make sure the
Light is “on” in our hearts. Jesus expects it. Don’t forget the Sacrament of Confession this Advent. 2018 Calendars
are now available in the back of Church.

Concert, on Sunday, December 10! Our Open House
begins at 1:00PM, with tours of our beautiful campus

The Christmas Concert begins at 4:00PM in St. Martin
of Tours Chapel. Prior to the concert, you can visit our
International Creche Display in the Ryan Memorial Li-
brary. Light refreshments will also be available prior to
the concert in the College Building. This event is free
and open to the public. There will be a free will offering
at intermission to benefit the Sisters of Life at St. Mala-
chy’s parish. This charity was selected by our seminari-

Grief to Grace-Healing the Wounds of Abuse-Our up-
coming Philadelphia area program retreat will be held
February 18th-23rd, 2018. This is a fully integrated
spiritual and psychological program for anyone who has
suffered degradation or violation through physical, emo-
tional, sexual, or spiritual abuse. Offered in the privacy
of a Christian retreat setting, the 5 day program offers a
very unique process for helping survivors of abuse to
grieve the past and discover healing and transformation.
This retreat is helpful to people of every religious back-
ground and practice, as well as those who have lost their
faith in God because of the betrayal of abuse. For more
