The Commission barred Patrick Michael of Memphis, Tennessee from association with any broker or dealer. The Findings and Order Imposing Remedial Sanctions againstMichael found that he wilfully violated the registration and antifraud provisionsof the securities laws. The Order further found that Michael had been enjoined from further violations of the registration provisions on January 29, 1980 by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. CONSOLIDATED NATURAL GAS COMPANY

A notice has been issued giving interested persons until April 12 to request a hearingon a proposal by Consolidated Natural Gas Company (Consolidated), a registered holding company, and its subsidiaries, CNG Producing Company, Consolidated Gas Supply Corpora-tion, Consolidated Gas Transmission Corporation, The East Ohio Gas Company,The Peoples Natural Gas Company, and West Ohio Gas Company. Temporary prepayments of $50 million from excess cash to Consolidated and cash advances from Consolidated pre-viously allowed to Supply Corporation are to be changed so that such transactions will be carried out by Transmission Corporation following the transfer to Transmission Corporation of all of Supply Corporation's assets and related liabilities other than its natural gas utility business in West Virginia. Rule changes filed by the following have become effective in accordance with Section 19(b) (3)(A) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934: The Options Clearing Corporation (SR-Oee-84-2) which amends Interpretation and Policy No. 2 to oce Rule 604. Under the proposal, OCC will calculate each clearing member's maximum allowable amount of letters of credit from non-U.S. institutions based on the clearing member's aggregateOCC margin deposit. NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE CHANGE

The Pacific Clearing Corporation filed a proposed rule change (SR-PCC-84-4) that would amend several provisions of PCC's guidelines for approving U.S. and non-U.S. institu-tions as issuers of letters of credit for PCC's participants fund. The amendments include additional criteria to expand the classes of foreign institutions that can be approved by PCC as letters of credit issuers. Publication of the proposal is expectedto be made in the Federal Register during the week of March 19. (ReI. 34-20758)
