Seattle Scream 23 March 2071 ¸ Issue 47 KE and FBI Cooperating against Mob Violence Following an up tick in mob and gang related violence in the Metroplex, Knight Errant and the FBI have launched a joint task to combat such criminal activity. “We have made great strides in reducing the power and influence of the criminal cartels in Seattle,” said FBI Special Agent Dane Cooper. “The fact that they are turning on one another is proof of our success. But we do not wish to see innocents caught in the crossfire” “Knight Errant is pleased to partner with the FBI to keep people safe and restrict the actions of the criminal elements,” explained KE Chief Gaddis. Suspected mob related violence has increased by 20% since the start of the year including such high profile events as shoot outs on the Interstate highway. KE has flown in part of their ‘Untouchables’ unit from Detroit while the FBI has brought in a thirty- person team from Washington. The new task force will be operating out of the Federal Annex in downtown. Advance EnviroTech acquired by Horizon Seattle’s own Advance EnviroTech has joined the Horizon family of companies it was announced over the weekend. “Working with Horizon will give us a global reach for our environmentally friendly technologies,” said acting CEO of Advance Jamison Cassio-Vaugh. Advanced EnviroTech employs more than 350 people in the Metroplex and Horizon has announced plans to expand production of the hydro-filter and purification plant to double its capacity adding at least 75 jobs when it is finished. Aztechnology launches two Seattle Telenovelas Aztechnology has announced that it is producing two Seattle-based telenovelas: “Azt- NW”focusing on two families from Aztlan and their new life in Seattle. And “Stormclouds” about a trucker who gets pulled into the shadows. Maria Lozoya is overseeing development of the series. “People want to see the world that they know and everyone knows about Seattle. We want to give them a chance to explore it from two very different perspectives. This is why we intend to film in Seattle as much as possible.” While the lead actors in both series are Televisa regulars, much of the supporting cast will be drawn from Seattle and surrounding areas. Open casting calls will be announced on a rolling schedule over the next few weeks. Seattle Stress defends against Taipei Dragons at Home The Stress is fighting to hold onto its place in the top four of the league while the Dragons aim to climb into that rarified group. The Dragons have been playing very well this season having acquired several talented new players. While the Stress has suffered critical injuries to key players and only their star defender Rodney “The Rod” Wallenstein is likely to return for this match. Seattle Animal Parade this Weekend Seattlites can celebrate their pets this weekend at the Seattle Animal Parade downtown which incorporates the Seattle Dog Show and much more. There is something for everyone with a pet or for those who wish to get one. Animals will be up for adoption along with classes on how to care for pets of all types. The Seattle Dog Show will be held alongside exhibits of exotic animals and a petting zoo. Everything animal from urban farming to awaken para-animals will be showcased. “We hope to show people how wonderful companions animals can be and how to properly take care of our animal friends,” said Luce VanBraun of the Seattle Animal Friends who helped to organize this event. The Animal Parade is free but donations to help local animal shelters are welcome. Moonshadow into Studio after End of Successful Tour Moonshadow heads into the Rebel Entertainment studio having completed his Pacific “Ashes of Mars” Tour. Which concluded to rave reviews in San Francisco in February with a three-night concert sequence dubbed “the Shadowrun improve sessions” for the staged actions sequences that ‘interrupted’ the shows. No word yet on what the new album will be called or its theme but rumors of guest artists are already circulating widely.
