    MATERIALS

    MC: Lana Grossa Stella 70% Cotton, 30%Polyamide (1.75 oz/ 88 m/ 50 g) in aqua/blues orany other worsted weight plain or textured yarn 2balls

    CA: a small amount of white worsted weight yarn

    CROCHET HOOK

    F-5/33/4MM crochet hook

    GAUGE

    is not critical for this project.

    SCARF

    NOTE : A scarf is worked as one piece. See diagram on the

    right.

    With MC, ch 18. Join with sl st in the 1 stch to form aring and work in rounds.

    Rnd 1(RS): ch 3 (counts as 1stdc now and throughout),33 dc in ring; join with sl st in 3rdch of beg ch 3 = 34 dc.

    Rnd 2: ch 4, [dc in next dc, ch 1] 33 times; join with slst in 3rdch of beg ch 4 = 34 dc and 34 ch-1 sps.

    Rnd 3: ch 13, sk 4 ch-1 sps, [sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 4] 30times; join with sl st in 3rdch of beg ch 14, turn = 30 sc,30 ch-4 sps and one ch-10 sp.

    Cont work in rows.

    Row 1: ch 3, 17 dc in ch-10 sp, turn = 18 dc.Row 2: ch 4, [dc in next dc, ch 1] 17 times; join with slst in 4th ch-4 sp, started from ch-10 sp of previous motif,turn = 18 dc and 17 ch-1 sps.

    Row 3: ch 4, [sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 4] 12 times; ch 10,sk ch 4 sps, join with sl st in 3rdch of beg ch 4, turn = 13sc, 13 ch-4 sps and one ch-10 sp.

    Rep Rows 1-3 until desired length 24 more times.Fasten off.

    FINISHING

    With RS facing, join CA with sl st in any ch-4 sp, ch

    4, [ch 3, sc] in each ch-4 sp around entire scarf; joinwith sl in 1stch of beg ch 4. Fasten off.

    Weave in ends.
