What an amazing night we had at our presentation evening last night. A huge congratulations to all those who received awards. I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming our 2019 leaders onto the stage. What a wonderful group of young people and I so look forward to working with you next year. Through our school parliament our student body really has a voice and as a team we try and improve what we do and we do listen to what our students have to say. To Tyler, Lilly, Benett and Asha well done on your achievement. Our students rarely get it wrong when it comes to selecting our leaders and we know that you will do a fantastic job. Nights like last night don’t happen without an incredible amount of work behind the scenes. I would like to thank all of our teachers for their preparation and organisation. Thank you to Mrs Butler and Mrs Stulz in the office. It is a huge task to co-ordinate all of the trophies, certificates and communication with parents and special guests. Their efforts enabled the night to run smoothly. Technology - All of our classrooms now have new smart boards. I spoke to the P&C earlier in the year about utilising school and community funding to update technology in our classrooms. These new smart boards were installed on Tuesday and are a fantastic addition to our school. Teachers have had some basic training but will be further upskilled before the end of the year. Drum Corp - Last night Drum Corp students opened our presentation with a vibrant performance. I would like to thank Jared from Drum Corp for his commitment and efforts this year. As I mentioned last night we are not sure if Drum Corp will continue next year. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding this early next year.
