Description.

This boat is a seaworthy and lively cruiser combining good sailing performance with comfort, ideally suited for pleasure cruising. Under the current ownership she has been professionally and carefully maintained and upgraded in many aspects. The vessel has normally been kept ashore for approx. 9 months every year.

Olympic Sea 42 is effectively a Jeanneau Sun Legende 41 designed by Douglas Peterson , but built under licence in Greece by Olympic Marine in 1992. The hull is laid up by hand using stratified glass KEVLAR ( high strength Aramid Fibre) and all the interior is teak lined throughout.

Engine:

Perkins Prima 50 HP diesel engine with Wurth marine gearbox.. Stainless steel shaft line with P bracket and 2 bladed bronze propeller. Approx. 500 hrs since last overhaul, The engine has been maintained annually by the local Volvo service centre.. Last service: April 2017.

Tank capacities:

Fresh water: 3 x stainless steel tanks: total 350 L, Diesel: 1 x 150 L, Hot water tank: 41 L

Deck equipment:

2 x Harken Barbarosa two speed self tailing winches for the genoa sheets ; 2 x Harken Barbarosa two speed self tailing winches for the outhauls and reefing lines, all of which are led on top of the coach roof through Spinlock clutches.

Marine grade stainless steel Push pits and guard rails incorporating gantry arch; . Spinnaker pole secured on the foredeck.

Bimini covering complete cockpit, teak folding cockpit table, teak cockpit deck and seating area.

Electric windlass, Bruce type anchor with 50 meters of 10mm dia. galvanized chain, Spare kedge anchor with 5 meter chain rode and about 40 meters rope. Ample quantity of mooring ropes, fenders, boat hook , MOB life ring and light. in good condition.

Engine driven alternator: Prestolite 90 A; Batteries: 2 x130Ah Victron AGM, renewed 2017; Battery charger: Sterling 40 A; Inverter: 12Vdc/220V AC: 1000 W; Shore power connection with RCD protection. Spare Lucas 70 A, alternator.

Dual voltage Waeco Series 80 /ColdmachineVD09 top loading fridge (can also run on shore power), Solara 68W deck mounted flexible solar panel complete with electronic control unit.

Furuno 1000 GMDSS, Furuno GPS (GP32), Furuno Navtex (NX 300). ICOM DSC VHF type M506, with built in AIS receiver. Stereo radio CD player. 4 saloon and 2 cockpit marine speakers.

Al antennas for the above equipment are fitted on a stainless steel gantry.

Navigation/Sailing.

Raymarine ST60 series depth, speed, wind instruments and Raymarine S3G corepack Autopilot ST6002 Linear Drive with internal gyro connected directly to the rudder quadrant

Accommodation:

Marine plywood with varnished teak veneer bulkheads glassed in peripherally on to the hull and deck.

3 double cabins, 2 heads, galley with gimballed gas range and oven, 190 L fridge, hot and cold water supplied by electric pump, storage lockers. All deck lining and shell sides are covered in light coloured Pamplona simulated suede leather. Galley work tops and cabins wash basins and cabinet tops finished in Corian Aqua.

Mirror finished stainless steel galley range cover/ splash back.

The saloon has a large folding table which can be converted to a double berth, and the settees backs also can be raised to be converted to pilot berths. Up to a total of 11 people can be accommodated.

Complete set of Pyrotechnics, renewed in 2017. 3 x ABC Powder fire extinguishers in date.
