SDN Security SDN architecture may enable, facilitate or enhance network-related security applications due to the controller’s central view of the network, and its capacity to reprogram the data plane at any time. This demonstration will focus on ways that SDN technologies provide unique defensive capabilities in securing today’s networks. SDN-Based Denial of Service Attack Mitigation This demo will showcase the use of Carrier Grade SDN-based signaling to mitigate network level Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against a service provider’s infrastructure and its customers. Attack mitigation in the context of this demo means either blocking the malicious session or off-ramping the suspected traffic to a security device.
