First of all I had to choose the most appropriate picture for my front cover, I then used Photoshop the image to what best suited the layout of the cover lines. After I imported my image I then moved on to my title. My colour scheme was purples because of my questionnaire results it was one of the most popular. Therefore for my title I thought that orange would be a suitable contrast. I typed out my title and experimented with different shades of orange on Photoshop.

The title overlapped part of my image so I had to erase part of it so it didn’t. For this I used the eraser tool on Photoshop, it gave it a more professional look.

After this I moved onto the cover lines of my magazine, because of the shape of the image I thought they fitted well on the left side of the cover. I then chose the colour of font I would like my cover lines to be and so experimented with purples as they went with the colour scheme of the magazine.

After this I moved onto the main headline of my magazine. I chose a font similar to the title and made sure it stood out by going for white. I messed around with different text boxes so that I could move the writing closer together and create a more unique font.

My slogan for the magazine was ‘Turn it up louder’ I placed it just under the title because I had learnt this from codes and conventions of other music magazines. I also used white font for this so that it would stand out like the headline. After this I began adding a few finishing touches such as the phrase ‘The new sound of 2013’ I thought this was catchy and was appropriate. For the text I used a completely different font so that it was eye-catching and played around with the size etc.
