EXAMPLE: Do crickets chirp more in cold or warm temperatures?

1. Statement of the problem: Does temperature affect how much a cricket chirps?

2. Form a Hypothesis: I think that crickets will chirp more on dark warm nights, and less on dark cool nights.

3. Test the Hypothesis: Set up three containers each with a thermometer and a cricket. Each should be at a different temperature, but not too extreme. I will then count the number of chirps for each cricket for a period of 15 minutes.
