Recent structural changes

Until 2008 = GO (Graduate Organisation)

Now = RTD

RTD is now responsible for management of research staff

i.e. RAs, PDRAs, Research Fellows

Key issue:

Until now, research staff have sat in a management vacuum.

The new Code of Practice aims to change this with benefits for:

1) The research staff

2) The PI

3) The research project and by default the School.

All have responsibility for effective delivery of the CoP
