The life he lives...-by, Rohinya SekhriHumans have always dreamt of seeing the world withthe eyes of a bird, from the sky. An architect’screation made it possible with his structures. Butthis dream comes at a cost where no matter howsmall the human may be, his ideas and hisimagination is beyond the zenith level and oncethese ideas take form of a structure, he knows hehas left his mark in the world and mankind willremember him for the coming centuries. But in thisrace he’s not alone, he’s constantly competing withhis own companions with whom he was once nurturedand with whom he learnt the art but sooner or laterhe realizes that after numerous phases he will beleft alone with nothing to survive on but his owninstinct to trust and his creativity to give. He willponder upon questions and solve the riddle of hisheart because only then he would’ve passed thetoughest stage where he will be tested, and thenwhat will be born is not just a man, but the one withthe power to create.‘His mind works while others snooze as he sees it asan advantage he must use’, He lives by these wordsto stay a step ahead from the race he belongs to .hewill go against every rule, every oath to provehimself right! He will not listen but he will be at hismost respectful because no matter how his passiondrives him, he still is a human. But when his timecomes, there will be no one who stands for him, butthe structures he created and they will all moan onthe death of their creator. They will continue tostand tall as a reminder, that an architect livesforever!

What is Architecture?

-by Viplav Sanduja

Architecture has a vast variety of meanings. It iscomposed out of two words: art and tech (technology). It is a process, not an outcome that translates asarchitecture. A good architectural outcome will have agood aura and would be appreciated by all.

Our brain has two parts, right and left and betweenthem the right one is the creative one and the left oneis the logical one. Architecture utilizes both parts ofthe brain and challenges us with an interesting puzzleto solve. This puzzle gets more complex as we movefurther, but at the point where we feel it has reachedthe peak of complexity, it actually means that theprocess is going in the positive direction. Then suddenlyit appears to simplifying and evolve into a distinctstructure. This structures is generally very attractiveand resembles our style and thoughts.

Architecture also represents the psychology of the user.No two persons have same thoughts and hence no twobuilding could be similar. Everyone has their own sense oflikes and dislikes based on which an architect designs.

Apart from elegant design, a building should satisfy itspurpose and yet it should also be sustainable. It shouldcontribute itself to the nature, in such a way that no harmis done to nature, rather the benefits of the nature shouldbe harnessed in design.

There are many forms and styles of building constructedin this century and the previous one, but my personalfavorite is bio mimicry in buildings. Such a building takesinspiration from natural elements and evolves in such away that it not only gains the shape but also the aestheticsof that natural element. This gives a beautiful design aswell as a sustainable feature to a building. It provides afree flowing sculptural form to a building.Such buildings have been my inspiration to choosearchitecture.
