It is looking as busy as ever, so we hope you have all enjoyed a rest over the holidays. There are some permission notes attached to the newsletter that need to be completed and returned to the office with payment as soon as possible. A reminder, consent forms are also on our website if you have ever misplaced your copy. Please be aware, there are some private transport opportunities for your child where you may need to car pool. NAIDOC This year’s NAIDOC message is ‘Voice, Treaty, Truth’. Our school will celebrate NAIDOC this Wednesday, 24 July through organised class activities. It would be appreciated if students could wear the colours below to help create a special photo of the Aboriginal flag. Kinder and Year 1 please wear red clothing, Years 2-4 please wear yellow clothing and Years 5-6 please wear black. A t-shirt is fine with our school uniform and can be turned inside out if it has print on it for the photo. Robotics Workshop It is very exciting to have the ROBOKID crew returning to Rosebank PS this Friday. A permission note was sent home last term and another copy is attached to the newsletter. Athletics Carnivals There are two Athletics carnivals in Week 2. The carnival at Clunes PS on Monday 29 July is only for competitors aged 8 years and older. Our senior class will be attending to support each other plus students from the Junior class who are 8 years and competing. Private transport to the Clunes carnival is required. The carnival at Eureka PS on Friday 2 August is for the whole school. The day includes a March Past, relay races, ball games and novelty events. Transport to Eureka is via bus. Spelling Bee Our Year 3/4 and 5/6 Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday 8 August 9.30am in the School Library. Parents are welcome to attend. Students are encouraged to access the word list from the link: https://www.artsunit.nsw.edu.au/premiers-spelling-bee You will need to use the password: pizza. Students can download the lists as well as the annotated lists as many of the words included range from simple to extremely difficult. Canteen News There is a special meal deal this week. Please be sure to get your orders in by Thursday for catering purposes. Macaroni and Cheese (veg) with bacon chips (optional), dinner roll and green salad for $5.
