Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose & Flower Care fertilizes your plants while also controlling common insects and diseases like:

•Aphids

•Japanese Beetles

•Whiteflies

•Black Spot

•Powdery Mildew

•Rust

Plants that can be treated with this product include:

•Roses

•Flowers

•Iris

•Hibiscus

•Azaleas

•Camellias

•Rhododendron

Recommendations- Get a head start on your fertilization and disease prevention by using Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose & Flower Care. Start treatments in early spring once plants have broken dormancy to prevent season long battles with disease and nutrition. Bud swelling indicates that the roots are actively tak-ing up water and would be the ideal time to start applications. It will take about 30 days for the plant to move the active ingredi-ent from the roots to shoots and control insects and disease. A foliar spray should be used that has a different active ingredient to prevent resistance if disease or insect pressure appears in that 30 day window.

Instructions –For roses, mix 2 fl. oz. in 1 quart of water to treat 1 plant. Flowerbeds require 2 fl. oz. in 2 gallons of water to treat 12 sq feet of bed. All other shrubs are treated with 1 fl. oz. in 1

quart of water per foot of plant height. Add to watering can the required amount of water before adding Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose & Flower Care. Apply every 6 weeks throughout the growing season.

Active Ingredient – Tebuconazole, Imidacloprid, 9-14-9 NPK Fertilizer

Modes of Action – Imidacloprid is a neurotransmitter inhibitor causing loss of motor control. Tebuconazole is a sterol inhibitor causing insects to be deficient in growth hormones, resulting in death.

Bayer Advanced Insect, Disease & Mite Control will treat these common insects and diseases for up to 30 days after application:

•Aphids

•Spider Mites

•Leaf spotTreatable plants for this product include:

•Roses

•Flowers

•Houseplants

•Ground covers

•Vines

•Ornamentals

•Shrubs

•TreesDo not use on any edible plants.

Recommendations- This is a great product for control of mites, aphids and common fungal leaf diseases in your flower beds, shrubs and trees. Applications can be made whenever dis-ease or insect pressure appears. Treatments can be made prior to disease or insect pressure since this product has residual activity for 30 days, but it posse’s greater risk for resistance if used multi-ple times, year over year. Try rotating products that have differ-ent active ingredients to avoid resistance issues in the long run.

Instructions – Bayer Advanced Insect, Disease & Mite Control comes ready to use, no mixing or measuring required, just spray

target plants thoroughly making sure to get the undersides of leaves as mites like to rest there. Spraying during early morning or late evening will be most effective as insects are least active at that time.

Active Ingredient – Imidacloprid, Tau-Fluvalinate, Tebucona-zole

Modes of Action – All of the active ingredients are members of the synthetic pyrethroid category of chemicals. Each targets neu-rotransmitters, inhibiting proper functionality causing loss of mo-tor control, convulsions and death in insects.

Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Pyrethrin

Recommendations- For fungal and insect control in fruit trees use Fruit Tree Spray with Neem. Begin treatments in spring once leaves have emerged and continue as needed to control pest problems.

Instructions – Mix 2 tablespoons (1 fl oz) per gallon of water. For best results do not mix with cold water or spray when ambi-ent temperatures are below 45 F. Thoroughly mix solution and spray all plant leaf surfaces, including undersides of leaves, until leaves drip solution. Frequently agitate solution while spraying to avoid separation. Try to apply during early morning or late af-ternoon when pests are resting on the undersides of leaves. As with any oil based spray leaf burn is possible if applied under noon day sun. Do not apply to impatients, fuchsia, hibiscus and some rose flowers without prior testing. Do not add adjuvents such as spreader stickers or extenders.

Active Ingredients – Pyrethrins; piperonyl butoxide; clarified hydrophobic extract of Neem Oil

Modes of action - Pyrethrin is a neurotoxin that binds to the sodium channels of nerve cells causing hyperexcitation and loss of function. Piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is a synergist additive that increases the potency of pyrethrins. Neem oil is a natural plant extract from the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica) that de-ters insects from feeding on plants treated with the product. Once ingested, Neem oil prevents larvae from becoming adults by interfering with the molting process.

Treat trees and shrubs before insect infestation occurs as this is a systemic product that will be taken up by the plant and retained in its tissue for up to 1 year. Insects controlled by this product include:• Adelgids

• Asian long horn beetle

• Billbugs

• Bronze birch alder

• Crane fly lar-vae

• Emerald ash borer

• Japanese bee-tles

• Lacebugs

• Leaf beetles

• Leafminers

• Leafhoppers

• Mealy bugs

• Pine tip moth larvae

• Psyllids

• Royal palm bugs

• Sawfly larvae

• Scales

• Thrips

• Vine weevil

• Whiteflies

Recommendations - Treatments in the fall are most effective as it preempts insect infestations and gives adequate time for the chemical to be taken up by the plant and redistributed to its stem and leaf tissues. Do not apply when ground is frozen or wa-terlogged as this prevents movement of the product into the root zone. Alternatively, if applied during a dry period it is best to water the ground well the night before application.

Instructions – Measure the circumference of the tree at breast height, about 4’ from the base, and apply 1 oz per inch. For mul-

tiple stemmed trees add the circumferences of each trunk and multiply by .75 and that is the number of ounces to be applied. For shrubs apply 3 oz per foot of height.

& Mix calculated amount of product needed into 1 gallon of water. Slowly pour this evenly around the base of the plant. Fill the bucket with clean water and pour this around the base of the plant as well. This ensures the product moves thru the soil and into the root zone to be taken up by the plant.

Active Ingredient – Imidacloprid

Modes of Action – Imidacloprid is a neurotransmitter inhibitor causing loss of motor control, convulsions and death of insects.
