Dear Sir/Madam,Every year World Federation of Mental Health is observing May 24th

as the World Schizophrenia Day. The importance of this day is to make

aware the public about this chronic mental illness in order to detect

early, treat early, rehabilitate and most importantly to remove the

stigma about schizophrenia in the society. For the same purpose

Psychiatry Department of IQRAA hospital in association with IMA-

Kerala State, IMA- Calicut Branch and World Federation of Menta

Health is organizing a public awareness programme on May 24th at

Town Hall from 10.00am to 2.00pm. There will be variety of

programmes including poster presentations, talks, video

presentations, short play and a film on schizophrenia.

We sincerely hope that this will be a very useful programme for

all the families of schizophrenic patients and social workers. We would

request your active presence to make this programme very lively and

successful.
