KPEB has been constituted with the sole aim of providing quality educational support to the Schools.Question papers will be set for the 3 unit tests, the two terms and annual exams.

For English Medium (Standards 1-4), Rainbow Publishers offer two types of textbooks(1) Spectrum Termwise textbooks (includes workbook) which cover Mathematics, Science, SocialStudies and Malayalam wherein the portions are divided termwise.

(2) Separate textbooks and workbooks for each subject.

(3) For Standard 5 -Separate textbooks and workbooks for each subject - English (Bluebells),Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Hindi, Malayalam and Computer (The Scheme of work willbe sent to the schools separately).

For Malayalam Medium (Standards 1-4) Sunrise Publishers offer “Mazhathulli” Termwise Textbookscovering Malayalam, Science, Maths, Social Studies and Colouring. Also a separate textbook andworkbook for English, “Rise and Shine”.

Henceforth question papers for Std.1-4 Malayalam Medium will not be available.

For Standards 6-7, Malayalam and Computer textbooks are available.

Our handbooks contain guidelines to teachers to effectively teach our books and also theanswerkeys for the exercises. These handbooks are now available on our website(www.rainbowpublishersindia.com) and can be downloaded freely by the schools.

The publishers have printed and published books of superb quality at an affordable price. The bookswhich are very colourful and attractive with high print quality is endearing to both teachers andchildren alike. The question papers are very innovative and interesting and help in triggering thelogical reasoning in children.

We present the schedule of work for the year 2013-2014 for the Primary Section classes (Standards1-7), both English and Malayalam Mediums.

The date for ‘Rainbow Talent Search Exam’ has been tentatively fixed for Saturday 16th of November2013 (16.11.2013).

English MediumStandards 1 to 4We offer 2 types of textbooks for the lower primary section -1. Separate textbooks and workbooks for - Maths, Science, Social Studies, English, Hindi and

Malayalam. For Computer, GK and Colouring - text books only (No workbooks).2. Spectrum termwise books containing Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Malayalam

(includes workbook).

Standard 5 - Separate textbooks for Maths, Science, Social Studies, English, Hindi and Malayalam.For computer and colouring - textbooks only (no workbooks).

Standards 6 and 7 - Computer and Malayalam TextbooksThere will be three Unit Tests and three Terminal Examinations for the academic year. Ques-

tions will be set according to the portions of syllabus denoted in the Scheme of Work.

Mode of examinations:All subjects - WRITTENStd. 1 - English(Reader / Bluebells), Maths, Social Studies, Science and EnvironmentalStudies will have only Part A - Objective. Malayalam & Hindi will essentially have Part A. Part Bwill be included only if required.

Std. 2 to 5 - English, Malayalam, Maths, Social Studies, Science and Environmental Studieswill essentially have Part-A. Part-B will be included only if required for all unit tests and term exams.

Part A- objective - answers to be written in question paper.Part B- subjective - answers to be written in separate answer sheets.

Know it all will have only Part A - objective. Compulit will essentially have Part A and Part Bwhenever required.

COST OF QUESTION PAPERSEnglish, Malayalam, Maths, Social Studies, Science and Environmental Studies

question papers will be charged Rs. 2.50 per paper. Compulit, Know it all and Colouring question papers will be charged Rs. 2.00/- per paper.

Hindi question paper will be charged Rs. 2.00/-Std. 5 to 7 - Compulit and Malayalam question papers will be charged Rs.2.00/- per paper.

Minimum OrderFor each test / exam a minimum of five sets should be ordered for a class. Even if the

Timetable for Unit Tests,Terminal Examinations are attached herewith. All schools shouldconduct the examination according to the timetable charted by the board. If a holiday falls onan examination day that exam should be postponed to a date after finishing the other examina-tions according to the timetable.
