Hand PaintedFruit Soap

Each one is unique, each one ishand painted and they all look andsmell like the real thing.

ScENT started out in 2010 by launching our very first

fruit soap, lovingly hand painted and textured to look

like the real thing. Carla learnt soap-making in Brazil

where there was a lot of interest in glycerin soaps.

Her mentor in Brazil specialised in Soap Art and his

fruit soap was something he was very proud of. Carla

has taken his initial idea to a whole new level,

spending months and years perfecting her craft so

that the colours are right, texture appropriate and

even the inside of the fruits look just as you would

expect from the real thing.

Passion-Fruit, Lemon, Lime & Fig wholesale in units of

Our popular Novelty Soaps are only a small sample of what we make for wholesale but we are open to suggestions,corporate events and commissions. This range of soaps are made specifically with ‘fun’ in mind, great for kids and grownups - suitable as gifts for for your very own bath time. Many never make it passed the collectables Shelf. Almost all ofthese soaps use an opaque base which is SLS free and similarly, most do contain fragrances. They cannot be sold asorganic or fairly traded though a many do contain organic ingredients.

Whilst ScENT makes both Cold Processand Melt & Pour Soaps it is the ColdProcess that we tend to make forwholesale. There are a few reasons forthis.

● We can make the soap from scratch sourcing all our owningredients - ensuring top quality, organic and fairly tradedingredients are always given the priority. Making it fromscratch means we knw exactly what goes into it keeping it100% natural.

● It means we can produce soaps that are tailor made tospecific skin conditions.

● They withstand sunlight and moisture much better for retailshops than Melt & Pour.

PALM OIL

Most people concerned with organic skincare are also very aware ofthe world we live in and our global responsibility to live sustainably.Palm oil is a massive and very divisive issue. To be honest it is a bit ofa minefield. Palm oil can be approved by the RSPO but still not besourced from sustainable sources. A big concern for many is thepossible future extinction of the orangutan which has become the faceof rain-forest preservation globally. It is true that even sourcing palmoil from organic sources in Indonesia threatens further deforestation.Yet despite this there is little doubt that palm oil really does helpharden a bar of soap - preventing it from turning to mush almostinstaneiously. For those who seek to remain palm oil free - we suggestusing our Castile Soaps which are 100% Organic Olive oil soaps. Leftto cure long enough it is difficult to find a harder bar!

However we have found two sources for Palm oil, one Columbia & theother Nigeria where the palm oil is both organic, sustainable and notfrom forested areas. Further, no orangutan is to be found outside thezoo of either country! We are also looking into a potential sourcefrom Ghana where we also get our Coconut oil and Cocoa butter.

Lavender & Lime“RELAX”

005-004It is hard to find something as wonderful andversatile as Lavender. Once the old woman’s

panty drawer herb – this fabulous plant has hadsomething of a renaissance. Our lavender isn’t

that horrible ‘old granny’ smell many of usdetest from childhood. The oil, distilled in

France at high altitudes makes this lavender oilmuch more subtle and altogether wonderful.

The lime oil not only adds that little bit of zestto the fragrance of this butter – but acts as a

deep cleanser and is often used in aromatherapyto help with creativity. Weight 110g

Neroli & Rose“FEMININITY”

essential oils. The aroma lifts your mood with awonderful feminine fragrance. This blend is

suited for people who are pregnant or for thosewith more mature skin. Neroli oil helps tonethe skin, reduce wrinkles and helps with scars

and stretch marks. This makes it ideal for bodybutters during pregnancy or those who have

lost weight. Neroli also helps with atrophyingmuscles and nervous spasms so ideal formassage lotions and oils pre-sports or for

muscles affected by MS or ME. As it balancessebum production so is a great choice for oily

Special Blend Facial Soap“DETOX”

005-008This is a wonderfully complex blend that is

enjoyed by everyone which is important as it isintended for the face. It contains 5 different

clays and is infused with Rose Geranium, YlangYlang, Patchouli and Graperfruit essential oils.

We get wonderful feedback from this product inparticular with people buying it again and

Your Skin is the largest part of yourbody. People interested in organicfoods should only consider organic skin-care. Unlike food that is digested andexcreted, every single thing you put onyour skin has the potential of being ab-sorbed directly into the blood stream.This alone is reason enough to keep ourown skin-care products organic.

Further, buy supporting organic farming practices we are ensuringthat farm workers no longer have to put up with the harmful healthconsequences of harvesting products covered in pesticides and insec-ticides, let alone give some rest-bite to that most wonderful of crea-tures, the bee that is suffering so much at present.

That our skin is so good at absorbing things provides us with greatopportunities. Renowned the world over for their therapeutic proper-ties, essential oils have been used by alternative therapists for centu-ries. Plants and extracts have been used long before modernmedicine and they are known to wield a power above and beyondtheir reputation of meagre plant!

We have opted to make products of high quality, parabens-free andorganic, with many containing ingredients that are fairly traded.Further, as an aromatherapist Carla has specifically tailored her prod-ucts with specific conditions and purposes in mind. Similarly we arehappy to make custom orders for specific skin conditions.

This is not to say that our products are medicinal. They are cosmet-ics, not drugs, but for many - the use of such products is a greatcompanion to their pursuit of good health and well-being.

Bath Melts 202-001

Our fizzy bath melts are made with deodorisedorganic and fairly traded cocoa butters & sheabutters. Depending on the product line we usea few different oils specifically geared to wardsskin-types or their properties.

Bath Salts 205-Our Bath Salts are a blend of salt, epsom salts,citric acid and sodium bicarbonate. They are

complimented with some base oils to help mois-turise the skin, essential oils for their therapeu-

tic properties and flora for decoration.Presented in PET Kilner Jars with the contents

weighing 230g.

Body Butters 207-These fabulous body butters are presented inthe PET Kilner jars 100g or the newer andsmaller PET jars 40g Each butter containsorganic and fairly traded cocoa butter, sheabutter, coconut oil and carrier oil. It also

contains mango seed butter, beeswax or jojobawax (for vegans) and essential oils. The

lavender & Lime/ Special blend are particularlygood sellers and the Herbal foot butter gets

fabulous feedback.

Body Scrubs 208-These Solid Sugar Scrubs cut down the need toscrub and moisturise by letting you do it all inthe shower in one go. The scrub is fixed byhard butters and oils making it an absolutedelight to wake up to in the morning. Each

tablet will be enough for one shower.

Hand Salve 211-We carry two hand salves in stock. Lavender &Lime and Carrotseed & Sandalwood. Both areintensive hand salves which contain more waxthan the body butters. Great to use in themorning and at night. They make a greatgardener’s salve. Presentd in PET kilner Jar

Shea Butter 216-Organic & Fairly traded shea butter infusedwith lavender & Manderin or Sandalwood
