Background Squares1. Lay out the squares in a random order: 5 squares to each row, 20 rows.2. Sew the rows together.3. Press the seams to the left and right on alternate rows. 4. Now sew the rows together - the seams will butt against each other and make lining up the
intersections very easy.Appliqué
Snowflakes1. You can choose which and how many snowflake designs you would like to use.2. Trace the snowflake templates onto the paper side of the Heat ‘n Bond Ultra. This product is
specially designed to be robust. It is a ‘no-sew’ fusible which means the shapes are very securely bonded.
3. Following the manufacturer’s instruction iron the fusible web to the wrong side of the red Scandi Scatter fabric. Cut out the shapes. Remove the paper backing.

Assembling the Table Runner
1. Lay out the backing fabric on a smooth flat surface wrong side facing upwards. Lay the batting on top smoothing out wrinkles or bumps.
2. Place the pieced squares over the batting.3. Use your favourite method of basting the layers together.4. Quilt by hand or machine as you wish.5. Trim, away the excess batting and backing to the edge of the quilt top.6. Sew the binding strips together into one long strip. Fold in half along the length wrong sides
together and iron.7. Sew the binding to the top of the quilt sandwich, mitring the corners. Turn the binding to the
back and hand stitch in place.8. Remove the paper from the snowflakes. Place the snowflakes in a pleasing random design.9. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to fuse the snowflakes in position. You do not need to
secure the edges of the snowflakes if you used Heat ‘n bond Ultra.
